Mr Bibou, you should use white school glue it is much more flexible when dry than wood glue.Plus it cleans up even when dry if you make a mistake, wood glue is not when dry.Hope this helps
Man the big one would make an awesome armor.....by the way how is the Gesso coming along? hey does the parts get harder or they stay flexible? I'm using 6mm foam and it feels too soft
I have a question. Does anyone know if i would i be able to apply body filler to the foam armor? I know itll tale away the flexibility purpose but im mainly going for detail and not flexibility
Hey guys,
I just wanted to give my thanks for all of the people that made these foam builds possible. I also wanted to thank all of the posters here as I've been studying the way you guys have made your suits to make my own. Your help has been invaluable. I've been working on my own suit now for about a month. I still need some tweaking before I start talking the lighting but hopefully soon.
I do have something I hope you guys can help me on. My helmet is a hot mess. I know something is wrong with it. But I don't know how to fix it. The profile is too boxy, and on the side the back seems to come out to far. Can anyone look at this and tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Please note that the helmet was the first thing I built, so it was created on a learning curve. Hopefully you guys can look at this disaster and tell me whats wrong.
Pic is a test shot for a lot of pieces.

Here you can see on how boxy its looking at the forhead and top.
The second is a more finished shot:

You can see where it juts out in the back too far. Any help would be great.
hi dude nice build just thought i could maybe help with the helmet the side profile looks fine but looking at it from the from i think your problem is in the angle of the cheek pieces of the face plate seen here....

the angle is far to sharp and it pulls the face in to much making the head look big i would try cutting the glue joint from the back opening it out a bit and re filling the gap with hot glue shouldn't have to remove the whole piece just open the angle a bit more
hope this helps
