I just found this Thread, and boy, am I amazed! this is a great concept and an even greater execution! Anxiously waiting for an update!

Been a ridiculously packed summer... not a lot of progress. Finally clearing my last "other" project off my bench this week and then back to some more main port structure work over Labor Day weekend. Trying to assembly-line them going forward. The good news is that my new little powered mini-chopper seems like it will work great and speed up this repetitive angle-cutting process... and gives nice smooth angle cuts, too.

Glad to see you back sir, I was really starting to worry we may never see the project finished . . . lord knows I have about 20 that have been shelved. Life sure has a way of getting in the way! Good luck, cant wait to see progress!

Holy cow! Awesome.
First - thanks all for waiting... and off we go again!
So... back to this project (after six crazy summer months away from this project with work and family activities). Been looking at the ROJ Blu-Rays, too... some great, clear surface detail I didn't have before!
The first two large port structures took about six hours apiece. Doing assemly line with my new mini-powered chop saw averaged about three hours apiece (no part sanding - nice!).
I got four more large structure frames assembled today to get almost half of the needed twelve done. Need to cut the front cross-bar pieces for each and then super-detail them like the others. Will do that next weekend. What a tedious task these are to make them all line up and work out to the same height... like always: measure twice, cut once.

Started on the cross-beams and greeblie digging for the four new structures. Should be posting this weekend again. Then onto more cutting for the next six.
The auto parts store finally had my red-oxide primer in for once, so got their last three cans to keep stocked up. I think I have now cleared over 20 large rattle cans of primer (gray, dark gray, black, and red-oxide) and counting... :thumbsup

The latest four still need putty and paint, but six down, six to go... with my Argo MF for reference... finally got around to making a plastic dust cover over the tunnel hole while I'm working on the top surface.
