Always loved this tile from Jedi - so I decided to have a go at re-creating the general feel of it - way too impossible to 'exactly' make it match the original.
I used a bunch of different photo-etch brass components to replicate the look and feel of all the under-construction elements of this tile. What really made it fun was I used some bits and parts from Grant McCune's shop that I acquired many years ago. So some of the under frame styrene and other bits came directly from ILM heritage
The two resin towers are castings taken directly from an original tile (thank you Jason Eaton/Mike Salzo!), then I built up the basic frame of the tower and added all the brass, and moved onto the other metal elements. So here is the 'under construction' pics, next up will be the fully painted/assembled model.
Thanks!
