Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

I've been reading this from the start, but haven't posted much (as I'm way behind on the issues)
I finally have the first 7 :) I was planning to make a replica anyway and had been collecting kits for sometime.
I'm still going to do many mods and corrections, plus replace many of the kit parts.
But I wanted to compare some of the parts and so far I'm impressed. Some aren't so good, but most are!

Sorry for the crap pics, I'll take better ones next week.

Those pics really tell a story....one which Im very fond of!! Cant wait....:)

Maybe they just referred to the 32" as the 2ft. back then?

You are correct.

Most of us long-time Falconophiles know that the original ANH model was subsequently called "the four-footer" by ILM to distinguish it from the half-scale ESB model, "the two-footer." They were of course referring to the saucer diameter -- or more accurately, the width of the models -- since that was a more practical measurement to work with than the length.

I'll share this in both threads for anyone that it may affect-

I only get paid once a month, on the 3rd, so it worked out this month that my payment posted today, but as was mentioned earlier in the thread, DeAgo are on a 27-day cycle. I called this morning & it was confirmed that my next payment was scheduled to post on the 30th of April. Don't know about everyone else, but I can't do 2 payments a month.

If anyone else is in the same boat, they WILL adjust your payment schedule to post on the same day of each month if you need them to. Of course, this means that after 10 months, I will be 1 shipment behind, but I'm very OK with that.

I just wanted to share the info since this is a budget stretcher for quite a few of us, & a few double payment months would be a bit of a killer. No complaining here. In fact, I'm very pleased that they were accomidating to my situation.

The 32" had landing gear for the shot of it parked inside the slug. Establishing shot before cutting Leia in the cockpit.

That is definately the 5ft in that shot brother. Look at the mandible side wall in the shot you are referring to. It gives it away. The only shot in the movies that I can think of that has the 32" in the landing position is on the SD, but you never see any gear. Who knows how they mounted it to the large scale tower. The death star landing was the the 32" CG'd in there for the special edition.

Anyone else from the U.S. Get charged tax? First shipment didn't get charged tax.

Not me... I live in Minnesota. Usually tax is required if their warehouse/office is in the same state as you.

Bottom section looks great to me so far. Flat sections will of course be covered up by the landing gear box and raised center jawbox parts and over hang above/below the mandibles looks like it will be correct

I am trying to hold out .....letting these issues build up...but you guys are making this difficult to watch these pics....makes me want to go in there and start ripping packages open....lol.. .I do know....once I start , I will not want to stop...at least running out of packages, and then being disappointed....making it so hard on me, to fight the feeling of seeing this kit come together......need a beer...lol

i think i know why this run has not been release anywhere else but UK and USA De Agostini already can supply the UK and several other countrys, at one time also the way De Agostini is initially supplied and marketed will very greatly from country to country. that is why the USA has had such problems with the ordering system De Agostini underestimated the popularity of this model . and i think there supply chain has been stretched to the limit . so well you have to remember they have lost millions & spent millions in the setting up of this run. if this goes badly it could sink! the company, so i don't think they will release it to any more country's until they are financially stable and have the production capability to handle such a popular kit

which could mean in 2 years sorry!...
