Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

Just looking forward to my next 4 issues wondering if any of you know if they send them out the same time every month? Does it depend on when you placed your order during the first month?

I know the feeling... am wondering the same thing. Next issues are due soon. Would be nice to get them the first of every month, but it may end up being the time you ordered because I haven't received anything yet either and am getting antsy to start working on this! :)

Let's all update each other when we get them, so we can get an idea when they are sending them out.

Deago #1 Displayed "Landed" on nice simple display base. Probably no cover so I can touch it, play with it, etc.

Deago #2. Either traded for MR or displayed just like MR with Mirror base and acrylic cover.

New Hasbro with Tony upgrades displayed like this:

My guess is it would depend on the day you ordered. I ordered on 3/24/15. According to them it went out the 3/25/15. So, they will bill me again the 4/24/15, and so on.

I contacted them about this and the customer service guy said I'd be billed every 27 days, which is odd. Messes up planning if it's a different day of the month every month. I'm hoping this is misinformation since this means a half week short of ever month. We would be getting our 8th issue after 6 months, or all 25 months will be done after the 21st month
Interesting to see how billing for the second one comes out. When did these first come available in the US? I just ordered my subscription Monday, still showing the double billing in my back account, hope that gets fixed tomorrow, need some of that for rent.

Just a bit of a side track here... Something I always wondered about the Falcon and would have loved to see in the movies is the flaps on the back around the engine moving. I mean, every one of them is attacted to what appears to be a hydrolic piston, so it would hint that they move in some fashion. Perhaps to allow for better manuverability in space, or maybe to concentrate the thrust to produce more speed. I dunno. But I often wondered if they close up over the engine vents at some point to slow the Falcon down and if they move independantly or is unison. I dunno if anyone else had that idea or not, but just look at the engine area. Don't it look like those flaps all along the back on the top and the bottom cover the engine ports below/above them?

I've always thought of them as thrust vectoring even though they really never move. Could be thrust reversers too, pull the back of the panel toward the body, dropping the front down into the exhaust and forcing it forward. All jet aircraft have some sort of this to slow down after landing.

Funny. Here is a copy of the email they sent me.
Dear Oscar

Thank you for your recent inquiry.

We do apologize for the inconvenience and delay with our email response, the way the Millennium Falcon subscription works is we do automatically bill your card and send shipments every 30 days so there is no need to contact us monthly, unless you wanted the shipment to be released on a certain day. Your Pack 1 shipment has just been released on 03/25/2015 and we ask you allow 7-10 business days for the shipment to arrive.

If you have any other questions, or if I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Regards,

the left hand photo hasn't yet had the latest piece of the hull plating screwed in place the frame is defiantly not aluminium i think it might be pot metal but pot metal isn't normally used with such high lodes however the hull plating ads allot of strength also those rectangular metal spots are where the mandibuls attach also when all the square boxes for the landing gear are screw on that sill ad loads more strength

That frame looks sturdy enough and, I dont know, but the fitment of those panels look very good despite some "critiques" earlier. This reminds me what sometimes happen in my other hobby, photography. Some love to put the blame on the equipment when they are the ones who suck. Same here, no patience or no skills so the model is the one to blame....

Received my first 4 yesterday. Woo hoo.. Ordered 3/20 received 4/1 I live in lower Michigan to give people s concept of time from ordering to delivery

Yes, would be nice to see the other side with the visible panels. Some have mentioned bad seam lines and fit, tough I suspect it may just be the areas that will be covered by the landing gear boxes and center raised jawbox section.
