Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

Is the blueprint included with the first couple of issues in the US like it was in the UK? I'm wondering if it will be available in Australia in the same issue otherwise I'll have to enlist the help of a UK member to get one for me.

Yes it does.

In my first shipment that I got yesterday, I had-

-Issues 1-4
-The four corresponding parts on individual blister cards
-The 2-sided blueprint
-A 2-sided fold out poster, about 17X22, that shows different aspects of what we will be getting in future issues, & what some features of the completed model will be. Kind of a preview poster, if you will.

All this came in a plain brown shipper box, with some bubble wrap & a smaller box inside , with all the contents.

As far as the t-shirt, it's my understanding that the shirt & Solo figure are NOT going to be included in the US release. Not really a big loss in my book, since the Solo figure was in a standing position, & the shirt sizing issues meant I probably wouldn't have worn it anyways.

Hope this helps.

I'm wondering about the wall mounting bracket. 24 lbs is pretty heavy. Is the mounting bracket adjustable, so that you can screw into the wall studs? Like the bracket for a wall mounted flat screen tv?

Got mine too, very excited about this. 2 years is going to be a long time though. I'm not sure if I'm going to wait until I have all the pieces or if I'll start building now

Yes, I'm afraid the t shirt is pretty useless if you are a big chap.

Cheap, thin material and very undersize.

I think when I get my pieces I'm gonna start working on them, detailing them out and making them more accurate. I'll probably end up getting a bunch of parts from Tony's Shapeways prints as well. Not sure yet, but we'll see how things go.

I see that your new cockpit is now available! Looks fantastic! I will hopefully be ordering soon. I hope the measurements I took for you were helpful.

Could I ask your opinion on whether you think the cone with built in consoles or separate consoles is more accurate to what we see on the film set? Thanks!

Hi Trimotor!

Yes, your measurements were very helpful. Thanks!

The difference between the two cones is that... the consoles are separate! The inner details are exactly the same. The separate consoles are identical as the welded ones, same size, same proportions, same details. Maybe a very slight difference, but basically the same.. And yes, I've tried to match all the details seen on the original studio filming model. Very difficult but very close. it's impossible a 100% accurate product, but we're talking about an 85-90% accurate. I've designed them with original shots, but not very close up shots, unfortunately. And the dimensions are very, very tiny...

The separate consoles are easier to paint and to detail, and you have a clean cone, just in case you want to go with the original cockpit. Lot's of options here. Still working... :cool :facepalm

Got mine.

These guys rock.

One of the greatest prop items ever created.

Anyone who does not jump in this will regret it.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:):eek:rolleyes(y)cheers:lol:p;)

Thanks for your advice! Saving up this month so I can place an order!

WOW! I love mine but could use seven grand!
Last time I looked tho...they appear to SELL for 5k.. However the new movie will drive it up a bit I suppose...but by that same thinking this "Build the Falcon" could actually bring down the MR prices a bit too... in the long run.

Those blinking lights are sweet... The seats next to the chess board...looks like chewie got into the Falcon's oil pan again :)

I got my parts today! I GOT MY PARTS TODAY!!! I feel like a little girl on Christmas morning!! I even did my happy dance!! Just opened the box and was blown away! I'mamazed at how fast it arrived... was expecting it to be later this week but it arrived today!! After seeing all the videos and pics of this thing I was kinda surprised that the parts were a bit smaller then I imagined. Gonna have to take some pics with something in the foreground to give a better sense of scale. Not that I'm complaining... I'm totally stoked! I looked back and made the purchase on the 8th... got the order shipped email on the 16th and it arrived today... total turn around time was only 8 days! I was expecting closer to 2 weeks! I guess I must live closer to a distribution warehouse or something! THIS IS A VERY HAPPY DAY!!! (Does my little happy dance!)

Makes sense. I'm in NC, & got mine yesterday. I'll never use this phrase again, but-

I'm glad to be in the 'north'.:D:thumbsup

I have to say I love the magazine too. Great item. Don't care about the T-Shirt or Han so I am a very happy camper about this.

Man, I've been riding the fence on this for like two weeks...
jameth1971 finally nudged me over the edge with his comments about regret.
So, I pulled the trigger and ordered it about 5 minutes ago.
I figure with lots of other projects going on, I can put all the unopened issues in a box.
If I never get around to it, a complete, unopened subscription should be worth BIG $$ in a few years.
At least that's how I sold myself on it...

You should NOT worry about buying this. I'm 100% if you decide to sell it later, you can double your money easy. There is little risk here...well..unless you buy it and lose all the parts, then you are screwed :) I doubt there will ever be anything like this again...at least for some time.

Glad to help. You will not regret it.(y)cheers

I just opened my parts and the three large hull pieces base color match perfectly. Looks like they are working out the kinks.

I think this is just the begining.

An episode 7 Falcon, Star Destroyer, X wing, etc.

Normal humans can't or won't spend 2k on a model or $300 on a handle but anyone can scrape up $66 a month. May have to skip a meal or two out, ditch cable, spend less time on the smartphone but anyone can do it.

This is gonna be huge.

And drop the MR Falcon back down to previous price.

Good times for Star Wars fans.

I just wish I could swing a second one.

:)
