Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

Here is my response on the survey:

Your Falcon Rocks. I've been a serious prop collector for 20 years. A Star Wars Collector for 37 of my 44 years alive and I'm not kidding. Still have my Kenner Falcon I got at age 7

The X wing is fine but been done already, tons of kits on that. Make the Star Destroyer and Y wing and you will secure your legacy as one of the best License holders ever.

Your effort to correct mistakes on the Falcon is unheard of. Incredible dedication to your product and customers.

Follow it with the Y Wing and then the Big Star Destroyer. Make the Y wing the large Studio Scale version and the Star Destroyer the 3 to 4 foot studio scale version. Unless you want to make me very happy and do the 8 foot Studio Scale Star Destroyer :)

You guys rock!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got an email from DeAgostini asking me to take part in a small survey. One of the questions asked me to list in order of interest which other star wars kits I'd like to see being produced.

The were (in my order of preference)
1 Y-Wing
2 Star Destroyer
3 X-Wing
4 Darth Vader's Tie Fighter
5 AT-AT
6 Landspeeder (I think, might have been something else)

I listed the rebel blockade runner in the other comments section as well. The examples above were not my pick, I just had to rank the given listed options

Interesting, don't you think?

This was my list as well.

I just took the survey and came to post too. You ordering is the same as mine. In my comments page I said to put the Blockade Runner at the top, and the Slave 1 after Darth Vader's TIE fighter. Also said that a classic Battlestar Galactica and the Firefly Serenity would be great non-Star Wars ships to do.

Final one on the list was the Snowspeed (T-47 Airspeeder).

My ordering was a bit different and here's why:

1 - AT-AT
2 - Y-Wing
3 - Star Destroyer
4 - Land Speeder
5 - X-Wing
6 - Darth Vader's Tie

Now... there's never been studio scale production kit of the Y-Wing, AT-AT or the Star Destroyer. Those would be awesome to add to my collection... The Land Speeder to build studio scale would mean full size, so it would have to be scaled down to something like maybe 1:6 to make it worthwhile with magnetic levitation would be awesome. The X-Wing has been done to death in just about every size and shape and iteration. As far as Darth Vader's Tie... personally I was never a fan. Back when AMT first came out with kits, the first 4 were R2, 3PO, X-Wing and Darth Vader's Tie. It always seemed too boxy for me... and for some reason, they neglected the regular Tie Fighter for years. It wasn't until the release of the new Special Editions that they actually came out with a regular Tie Fighter kit. Honestly, a Slave-1 would have been much cooler but then again I've always been a big fan of the Snowspeeder (don't know why). A large scale Star Destroyer would be just so awesome to have. The only kit of the Y-Wing that they made was that little tiny POS. For some reason, they thought that they would make more money going smaller (not gonna mention the pocket kits here... what a disappointment). It would be nice to see some of those kits in large Studio Scale for a change.

just FYI. There was a miniature of the speeder built and used in ANH for the long shots. They used modified GI joes as the figures, so 1/6 scale is about right.

Also, I was wrong about it being the landspeeder in the list. If I'd paid more attention, I'd have noticed it was the SNOWspeeder. I would probably still have it low in the list, but it would make for a cool studio scale kit.

How many of these kits did steve 'i owe zorg money' dysmesoemosomeo have his fingers on at MR?

just putting 2+2 together..........

1 Y-Wing
2 Star Destroyer
3 X-Wing
4 Darth Vader's Tie Fighter
5 AT-AT
6 SNOWspeeder

did MR do an x-wing?

One thing that I think should be noted is that I'm only really interested in any of these possibilities if they are studio scale. I don't need another 1/72 x-wing or y-wing. JMO

Tony actually made that piece after my request for something like that. I must admit now I've ordered it, I do wish I'd asked for the same thing as you. Sadly I'd already glued my parts and freeing the superglue is proving..... difficult. Acetone will just eat the ABS so I'm not sure what to do.

Tony I just found this:

http://www.shapeways.com/product/MT...ckpit-console-panel?optionId=57170555&li=cart

Is it possible for you to make one without the yokes so I can use the Deago full floor yokes?? I think the full floor ones are ANH and the ones on the panel like you have are ESB but I prefer the full floor ones.

Thanks

Tom

They've gone back to the full floor control yokes on the Ep.VII Falcon too.

There's no word on that yet but from judging by the parts that are included up to issue 25, its highly doubtful.

I'd guess we're probably done with hold parts, but I'm holding out starting my build to see what more shows, and how it fits into the falcon. I'm getting Tony's flooring, but would love to add visible tubes and wiring below. I wonder how the strong and flexible material is on this part? It's fairly low detail. You should probably get two, one extra one to modify for the other side so the supports line up and match the look, since those top beams are supposed to go all the way across. I'll probably chop the top beams to make it look more ragged, as if someone cut it out with a torch, a more cutaway drawing look, instead of all the same length.

Looks like the Tony yokes will just slice right off and you can make a button out of the area they were on.

I believe those beams weren't permanently fixed in the pit to begin with. I think they sat in support holders on opposite sides of the pit and were able to be removed by lifting them out.
