Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

ROTJ MF Grabs - It's been quite a long time since I watched this movie and I had forgotten how little the Falcon appears in it which is mainly near the end at The Battle of Endor.

There are no views inside other than very close in on Lando and his Co-pilot and one close up to the windshield - All the external shots are very fast moving and impossible to capture without motion blur. - The low resolution image at the end is from the original 1983 version.

Dave.

I got the binder this morning. Anyone know how the magazines are supposed to be attached? I've never seen this style of attachment before and I guess it should be obvious to the casual bystander, which I am not.

There are little pins that come on a sprue... it takes 2 per magazine. open the magazine to the center (where the staples are) and set the top pin into the binder in the top bracket. Slide the opened magazine under the pin and then insert the bottom pin in the bottom bracket over the other side of the magazine. When you close the magazine it should stay in place held in by those little pins..

Thanks all for the assist on the binder. That's sorta what I thought. The problem is the binder then will only hold ~20 issues and there will be 100 issues when all is said and done. Sooo, what will one do with the other 80?

That is one crazy ass binder. I have never seen anything like it.

And yes, 4 issues a month X 24 mos. is 96 issues.

If the binder only holds 20 issues then it is kind of useless.

To be honest I don't think I will keep any of the magazines or buy any extra binders - In the UK they come un-boxed in a plastic wrapper and at the mercy of the postal system, I'm up to issue 4 now and all are "dog eared" or creased if you like - I can't stand damaged collectibles - I will use them for assembly then stick the whole lot on Flea Bay - Might make someone's day and help me justify the Shapeways invoices :) .

Hi Vacformedhero - I went through the full movie twice - Once to find where Falcon is featured and then through those sections slow speed- There are no shots of the back of the cockpit door that I could find - Sorry

After reviewing all three films I can't find any image of the door entering from the tunnel - it's already open as they enter.

Sorry for the bad news bud :(

Regards.

Dave.

I know this isn't what you were referring to, but here's the back of the door from the Episode VII Falcon: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1429056963.945062.jpg

Ah got ya mate - I know what you mean now - I have searched for a close-up of the door myself and haven't found any image - -- - I know there is a digital display on it as I have tried to capture in the grabs but there is no close-up to be had -- If you watch a sequence of the grabs that capture the door you can see there are "moving red digits" - I know where you mean now but sorry there are no detail shots.

I did notice a similar display in Luke's X-Wing when he leaves Dagobah and the display looks correct but the surrounding bezel id different - I have tried to find a close-up of that but alas no I can't.

I'm afraid artistic licence might come in helpful here.

Regards.

Dave.

Nice picture mate - Next time your over in the UK I will buy you a pint :) - Kudos

The only known shot of the back of the cockpit door leading from the corridor was in a virtual walk thru PC game by LucasArts of the Millenium Falcon. I can't remember if it was a game or and interactive CD. But I used to have it. I could swear I saw a video on Youtube of the whole CD tour recently, but can't find it now!

Finally!
First 4 issues arrived safe and sound today in Canada. Along with the blueprint and the series guide. Can't hardly wait for a few more shipments to start into this! No customs fees and double boxed and per everyone else. Processed on the 30th of March. Shipped on the 3rd and arrived on the 13th. Considering 2 postal holidays in there I would say pretty good time wise.

Thought every might like to see whats in store in the next few months... had to share this:

What the heck is that clear piece in Issue 18? It's big and I have no clue where it would go. Unless it's a hull piece we need to paint? But then why would it be clear?

Of course, being in the USA, I'll have to wait like 4 months to get to that issue. :p

(seeing the upcoming issues is sort of like getting the Sears Christmas catalog when I was a kid... all these wonderful toys that you get to wish for and dream about... and hopefully finding them under the tree Christmas morning).

Thanks,
Chris
