Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

Do you have a link? I can't seem to find it, think I'm going blind.

I just tried to post the direct link here but I only get a survey taken page. The link is on a banner on the DeAgostini website page with "Take our survey to win £100 of Amazon vouchers". http://www.buildmillenniumfalcon.com/#issues You don't have to give your details. I chose to do it anonymously. I just wanted to let them know that I would buy figures anyway.

I wasn't working today, so I had a go at designing the Cloud City landing platform base idea. Here is my sketch;

To see what the best diameter for the pad was I made a mock up. This one comes to 90cm.

Any opinions on the relative size of the pad to the Falcon would be most welcome. This would be the diameter including the lip part around the circumference that is not part of the landing surface.

McQuarrie's matte painting in combination with the full size build in this shot might offer some clues:

So if this eventually becomes available in the US will we Canadians be able to order it from there and have it shipped here?

I can check the blueprints book when I get home tonight as well, I don't remember if the platform is in there.

I rang customer service as i haven't had an issue since 4 and 5 on the 24th January. The woman said that they will soon be sending out 6,7,8 and 9.....whew!

not sure, worst case you can have it shipped to a friend in the US and he ships it to you, well thats what I will do in the event they don't ship to Canada

Hi guys!

I've managed to get subscribed thanks to a fellow friend in the UK!!! I've just received issue 2 and 3 and the T-shirt.

And I've started designing 3D printed upgrades:

-Dejarik table
-Hall navigator seat
-3 sets of bits seen on the original ANH (barrels, cans, rugged boxes...)
-Laser cannon
-Laser cannon yoke
-Laser belly turret

MILLENNIUM FALCON DEAGO HALL BITS.jpg

And I'm designing more parts like the cabin cockpit, the backwall or the hall grilles.

You can see my post on the Projects Run section:

http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=234770

All of them already available!

I'm working too on the Hasbro upgrades... Not finished yet.

Those upgrades look fantastic! Count me in!

What upgrades dou you have planned for the cockpit? The whole thing? If so I will delay final assembly on mine until yours is available!

Tom,

One thing I see in pictures of the main hold technical station chair (Where Han sits as Luke practices with the remone in A New Hope) - the set chair had an extra detail piece which looks like a white saucer on top of the headrest compared to the cockpit chairs. There is another station in the Falcon on the starboard side, further aft in the main circular corridor. I don't know what the chair there is supposed to be like. To my knowledge, we do not see this in the trilogy.

Hmmm I'd rather not buy them off Ebay but with the re-release of The Star Wars Fact Files just this month I can't help wondering if they will run 2 Star Wars publications simultaneously or if it will push back the Australian release of the magazine until the Fact Files finishes. Feeling very disappointed.

Hey Tom!

Yes. The cabin nav seats are the same as the hall one except for a little part over the headrest -that I've ignored, in order that it can be shareable between hall and cabin-. I'm waiting for the cone to redesign the cockpit, to accommodate all the parts.

Many thanks for your interest!!

Hi Trimotor.

Many thanks for your interest!!

Yes, I've started designing the complete cockpit, but I need the cone to see the final size. The De Ago Falcon has a flat cabin floor, totally wrong, so I need the cone to calculate the cabin floor width of the two floor levels.

I will be posting here about my DeAgo parts.

Thanks

Their buildmillenniumfalcon.com website seems to be gone and now it takes you to the regular model website. Maybe it's being re-done for international launch
