Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

OK... here's the moment of truth and I'm sure I'll get alot of flac for this... but... I've been busy modeling some figures for printing... still thinking of doing a bunch of others but for now, I've got 20 different figures designed but not quite ready for print yet. However, all are scaled to 1:43 to work with the DeAgostini Falcon. Here's a photo render of what I've got so far.

OK... here's the list I have so far... Chewie, 3PO, Obi-wan, Lando, Lobot, 3 different Bespin Guards, a Stormtrooper, Leia in 5 different outfits (ANH Robes, Hoth, Bespin, Yavin and Slave outfits), Luke in 3 different outfits (ANH, Jedi, and Yavin outfits), and Han in 3 different outfits (ANH, ESB, and ROTJ). I'm still working on a Hoth Stormtrooper and perhaps Vader, but not quite sure yet (maybe a hoth rebel as well).

Now... here's the big question for everyone. I could leave them all in a standard pose like this and print them up and have you the modeler cut the arms and legs and pose them the way you want OR (and here's the tricky part) I could pose each one myself and offer a different figure for purchasing in different poses... so if I want to make a standing or sitting pose, that would be two different parts to order! I'm going to let you all talk about it for awhile to make up my mind as to what I'll end up doing.

The way I personally see it is this... As long as they are in the scale needed, I can cut them up and pose them the way I want without having to buy 3 or 4 different ones in different positions because I may want the figure in a certain pose, but someone else will want it in another pose. That's just me... so what do you all think? Lemme know and I'll get back to working on a couple others and see what else I can come up with.

I got my shipping notice for November today also and was charged Nov. 9th. I'm just concerned that now I'm getting charged a month before I actually get the product and the time to receive is getting bigger and bigger. Pretty soon I'm going to be paying for the next month before even receiving the previous.

I was billed on 11/16 for month 10 and got my shipping notice today (two weeks later than usual). Seems some of you have been waiting longer.

My next payment (per my usual cycle) should be on 12/14 with delivery on 12/21. We'll see.

It would be nice if they would just send a delay notice (and not bill until shipping) instead of someone having to contact them to find out what's going on.

I'm a patient person, but I like being informed.

They had a serious delay issue with month 10 parts because the Chinese suppliers couldn't keep up with the number of subscriptions they have gotten in the US and had to catch up demand and missing month 9 shipments.
Once they get Month 10 shipped, it is rumored that they have the supply situation corrected and month 11 might only be a little late. I don't know if it is true, but the scuttlebutt is that the Millennium Falcon will have more subscriptions than all their other model subscriptions combined through all the years.

If this is correct I am totally cool with delays because if it's due to popularity that means the chances of more SW models being offered will increase.

Come on 4 ft Star Destroyer and 5 ft Falcon.

I'd love a Blockade Runner studio scale... of all the Star Wars movie models, that's one of the few they never made at all!

That's fine. You may have it after my 4ft Star Destroyer and 5ft Falcon. Although if I am wishing it would be for an 8ft Star Destroyer.

A 4 foot Star Destroyer Avenger from "The Empire Strikes Back" would definitely be a grail model. I have always wanted one since I saw the movie. Finding room in my apartment might prove difficult though but I'm willing to give it a shot.:)

I am taking the plunge and finally picked up a Randy Cooper SD model so we will see how that goes. I was gonna get one forever, then chickened out when I saw some of the work that went into them, then saw one built like I had wanted to and decided I must do it.

Pray for me.

It's a really nice model. I hope to get one some day. Dtssyst has built this model. I am sure that he can offer you some tips if you ask.

I built it the Cooper SD and it makes me do a double take every time I pass by the room it's in. It's beautiful! The most time consuming thing with this model is the miles of fibers it takes to light it. I would definitely light it even if you think it may be overwhelming to take on. It's worth it in the end. Make sure you do some kind of framework inside for support also. With that much resin, I can't see how it wouldn't have some sort of sagging over time. Randy includes some internal support, but the problem is that it's resin also. I used my own and his just to be safe. Just my two cents.

Why the turrets would turn ? They're not mean to do it...
I think people get confused with what they see on toys and movies and think that's what this model should do because Deago has blurred the line between a SS replica and functional model by adding some extra bells and whistles. (interior, boarding ramp, etc.) I'm assuming he's talking about the turret rotating because someone did a screen grab from the new movie with the turret turned around in one of the action scenes.

Hey Tom... that's gonna be a massive undertaking. Will take ya awhile to built. I love Randy Cooper's designs. Even thou they aren't screen accurate they do look very detailed and pretty! That's gonna be a heavy sucker when its done with that much resin. I think I'm gonna wait for either the Bandai or DeAgo SD myself! Have fun with it thou!

I have to say I am a bit disappointed that the turrets won't turn. I'm not sure why but I assumed they would...

It would be easy to correct that. Just drill s hole slightly bigger than a brass wire and glue it into the cannon and a plug on the other end.

I have been hoping that Bandai would release one but as time passes that is looking unlikely. But with my luck, as soon as I buy a Randy Cooper SD, Bandai will release one.
