I went to see this at a midnight screening last night, and I gotta say... I LOVED it!
First, the not-so-good:
1) Ajax seemed to be a lackluster villain. Sure he was a capable foil for Deadpool, but he was a bit one-dimensional and his entire performance seemed... lacking.
2) Gina Carano needs better roles and a better agent. Enough with the tough, fighter chick already.
3) The movie could have used some more off-the-wall Deadpool action. More 4th-wall breaking. And his thought bubbles. I would have killed to see him make a thought bubble, grab it, and beat a bad guy with it.
4) The Deadpool makeup could have been far more gruesome than it was. This just looked like a Ryan Reynolds doll was briefly dipped in hot oil.
Now, for the So-Good:
1) Morena Baccarin. My God this woman is an amazing actress. She went toe-to-toe with Ryan Reynolds in the snark department with no real winner while maintaining that classy, loving personality she is so good at doing.
2) Wade/Vanessa. I loved every minute of their onscreen relationship. It was twisted (as it should be) and also deeply heartwarming and felt very realistic.
3) Ryan Reynolds... Not only did he get every bit of Deadpool's wisecracking personality and unconventional thinking right, that scene at the beginning with the pizza delivery guy sold me on just how dangerous and terrifying Wade Wilson is.
4) Colossus. He was over the top nice (as Colossus should be), and while some would argue that his heavy handed moralizing had no place in a Deadpool movie, I would argue the exact opposite. His goody-two-shoes approach to heroics perfectly illustrates how much grey area exists in Deadpool's world.
5) Blind Al. They really nailed the "completely mismatched, yet perfect for each other" roommate situation they are in. Granted, they left out The Box (and all that entails), but the rest of it was gold, from the pranks to the snark to Blind Al's motherly concern for Wade. Plus, there's something inherently funny about a blind person putting together IKEA furniture (the entire IKEA furniture conversations were hilarious too).
There are more, but I'm still processing the movie.
