Dead Space - My first costume and prop attempt

Thanks everybody. This has been a trip and an awesome learning experience. There is enough time, I might make a second costume for ECCC! :D

Looks great man!! I am still extremely honored that you took a bunch from my build thread to fashion your own version :) That is exactly why I put the build threads up and that's why I will continue to help out the community in any way I can. I want several pics with you if I make it back to ECCC next year!!!!

Thank you Steve. I truly mean that. I would never have tried to do anything like this if it hadn't been for your instructables write up. You did such an awesome job of walking the reader through your process that it removed the overwhelming feeling of such a bad ass costume. This project has been one of the funnest things I have done in years and you are responsible for that. Making this has sparked a creative side I haven't been able to tap into since college. So again, thank you and I look forward to seeing you at ECCC if you decide to visit us back up here in the Emerald City!

would the new project be in the background of your pic's? just noticed your mannequin mock up lol when is the rose city comic-con?? :cheers

Just got home from Rose City Comic-Con. Had a blast and Isaac was a big hit! Here are some pics from the con

Thanks again to all of you who influenced and took part in helping with my first build. This community is awesome. I look forward to learning and sharing much much more.

Very cool build.
I am curious.. How well can you see out of the helmet with the light glowing?

Its pretty dang bright and messes with your eyes after you take the helmet off. Everything looks pink while my eyes are adjusting to normal light after having that bright teal all up in your face. It is fine under normal lighting conditions, but when i was back stage waiting to go out at Rose City Comic-con, I couldnt see anything at all due to the light in my helmet being a million times brighter than any ambient light back stage.

Awesome. Good to know :) I'm working on some fully lit eyes for my spiderman armor and the only light up lenses I come across are iron man, which are tiny little eyes and have various approaches for doing it, but yours was the first with a large area of glow so thank you for your in"sight"

I suggest taking it off every 10 to 15 minutes. I'm sure there has to be a better way to wire it up than the way I did, but if you do it the same way I did, take frequent breaks. :)
