Daryl Dixon's vest, my second not totally accurate prop

Hi RPFers!

I just made this makeshift Daryl vest for my wife as an Easter gift, we're both huge Walking Dead fans and Daryl is by far our favorite characters. She's been wanting a vest like Daryl's forever but doesn't want to pay the price for the awesome screen accurate one for sale in the JY, so I took a little artistic liberty and found a vest that was close enough and nicely weathered at the Good Will store.

From there I bought a cheap pair of girls denim jeans and using as many pics as Google images would give me made drew the wings on the jeans and cut them out. They're attached to the vest with hot glue and I figure they'll weather naturally as she wears it everywhere over her flannel sweatshirt since I gave it to her, including our families houses on Easter lol.

Let me know what you guys think, always love hearing critiques good or bad!

How is the hot glue holding up? If it wears off, pick up some liquid stitch at a craft store and try that. It is what I use on mine.

So far so good, I secured the tops very well so they'd stay in place then started from the inside out. I don't think they're going anywhere for awhile lol.

Loved the write up on your personal vest, and the replicas you make are just outstanding man.
