Darth Maul Fabric and Patterns??

Here are the Loin Cloth patterns:

http://www.fileshost.com/download.php?id=3DFCE7931

If you want to start with the loin cloth you must print 2 times all the parts to get the full pattern

Actually, I'd just print one of each and lay the pattern on the fold of the fabric. You know what I mean? Take your piece of fabric, fold it in half, and place the edge of the pattern on the fold of the fabric....anyone who has sewn will get what I mean :).

I know what do you mean, I will also do it as I'm doing with my Boba flightsuit, but I thought that maybe people want it at full size :D

Have you printed it? Is it ok in sizes? I ask because I use A4 paper, not letter, and I don't know if it's well done, I hope yes.

PS: I have also edited that part of my post :thumbsup

I just printed it. Can you measure the loin piece three? I can then measure mine to be sure they printed right. Just measure from the solid line to the top of the page in metric measurements.

That would be awesome, I have used the Pepsi statue patterns for it. I can do the belt one, but I still need a full opened belt pic to do it. When Eopie post the pic, if it's possible, then I will do it, if not I must wait for his patterns ;)

BTW, I have seen that the Gino's Maul has the corners a bit rounded, I don't know if they're this way on the costume, but I have done the pattern as it looks on the Pepsi costume. :thumbsup

I'll try and get that for you as soon as I can. Probably later today, if not it will be this weekend.

I have just ended my black ink :sick On sunday I will have a new one (I will go to another house) but I can tell you how much it's (all) on my CAD draw, I can't tell you part 3 because my cad draw is a solid draw, then I have cutted it for printing, but right now it's a solid draw.

Well, exterior lines must be:

23" (58.42 cm) Long

13.5" (34.28 cm) Width

Interior must be:

21.5 " (54.61 cm) Long

12" (30.48 cm) Width

How is it printed? :thumbsup

Hey Eopie, no worries, we all can wait, if I have sounded in a bad way in my other post, it was not my intention. You're helping a lot, I really appreciate this :thumbsup

Just for clarification. Is the straight solid line going across the longest part of the paper the middle of the loin cloth or just a line up point?

Certainly did not take any offense! I'm just glad that my minor contributions are helping out!

It's the middle. Is it wrong? :unsure

Ya bud, they aren't all in the same scale. I even opened them all up in photoshop and aligned them. They don't line up. I have no idea why. Don't be down on yourself about it! It is probably just the A-4 to letter conversion problem.

It's strange, I have aligned them on photoshop too and they do it correctly :wacko Well, on sunday I will do handmade patters and I will hand-grid them with 2" grid to scan them and post it here...

Did you align them from the pdf files you just posted or your original file? That would be REALLY strange if yours aligned, but mine didnt....can't wait to see more my friend!

All that is really strange :lol Better I will scan a grid pattern, I think that this will be the easiest way for all.

I also will do a photo-tutorial of how to sew the parts as they are sewn onto the Pepsi statue (IMO the same way as it's on the real deal) :thumbsup

Sounds great! Also, the pattern you just made is on three sheets of paper and with no scaling it fills up about 2.5 sheets length-wise on 11"x8.5" paper. That means on my end the pattern is about 27" long.

That's because on the 3rd sheet I have added a lot of non functional pattern, you need to align the vertical lines and also the big horizontal one to get the pattern at its size, but if it doesn't aligns when printed, there's no need to print them :lol

Ouch! I forgot to say a detail I have seen about the under tunic. Well, on the Pepsi one the left side goes under the right side (at the clousure) but on the exhibition one, the right side goes under the left side! :)

Oh....then...ya it does line up perfectly. HAHA! I didn't know you put extra pattern on there. I got it now :wacko. The scale is perfect because I just aligned everything and measured! NICE!

Yes? it does align perfectly? Are you kidding? Really?

YEHAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Then I can do all the patterns with the CAD program?

Nice :)

On Gino's Maul, it is left over right. Generally, on male clothing it is left over right. Look at any button up shirt. In the military, left over right is male and right over left is female...at least that is how it is in the Navy.

Exactly, but the Pepsi statue under tunic has the right on the left :D
