I know I'm a bit late to the game and other people have already made these, but I've taken the approach of CAD + modern machining methods to try and replicate Hei's daggers.

Project Details: http://yzrandome.blogspot.com/2012/0...r-replica.html

Let me know what you guys think.

Also I may be interested in hiring someone to make a mold and replicate this thing for me. PM or email me if you're interested.

That is an impressive build from one of my favorite animes. Pretty depressing in the end of things but was always fascinated by his 2 prong "electrocution" dagger.

Does anyone know someone who might be interested in resin casting the prop version of this for me as well as doing the painting work? I can provide a master part to base the silicone rtv mold off of.

Here's a picture of my latest metal version as well -I'm liking it a lot heh...
This project kind of ended up dragging out for forever but oh well...

Lolz...I thought about it but I'm not sure if it's even possible to get that much power in the size that he had...

I know we send Adam a link to this thread and he shows it to Jamie. It'll rattle around in Jamie's head for a few days and then suddenly there is a custom built job :lol

I think they did something similar with the batman grappling hook a while back - I think they actually got it working though I'd need something with as much power but more compact. After that I'd just need to hook up a taser to it and practice throwing right?

Additional Pics:

Yeah that was Jamie. He built a rig that strapped onto his arm. It easily pulled him up however he only wired it for retracting not releasing. He had to cut his line then almost broke his nose when his rig hit him in the face. But Jamie said in I think the aftershow that it might be possible to have something like what we see in the movies in a few years as technology advances. (I Think)

In what episode was that? :confused
