Damian Wayne Robin - COMPLETED - July 20th

Hi everyone,

I have been browsing through the forums for a while finding out as much information as I could about different ways I can make certain props for my costume. I've finally begun making it recently and thought I would share my pictures and some of the processes I used to make them along the way.

This is my first time making a costume with this much planning. I hope to learn a lot from everyone here!

Here are a few more pictures:

1. Gauntlets and Fins being coated with Spray on Plastidip
2. White Screen Contacts I'll be using for the "Bat Eye" effect
3. A shot of my tweaked costume for mobility while I ran away from zombies at The Walking Dead Escape. I wore my gauntlets, but didn't attach the fins. Wore the vest, but no cape (wasn't done anyway). No Utility Belt (also wasn't done). Bushido shoes instead of Boots. No mask (wasn't done at this point either). Obviously no contacts if I want to be running fast and dodging zombies.
4. Another shot of my tweaked costume; upper body. My friend wanted to take a picture of me holding up my Starbucks Gold Card with the name "The Batman" on it and look conflicted.
5. My finished mask. It looks a little black in this picture but it's actually a dark green. I'm thinking of spray painting over it with a semi-gloss hunter's green.

I didn't get a shot of the hood I sewed onto the vest but it came out very nicely, I'll remember to take a picture of it later.

Here's another picture

The gloves are:

NIKE Men's Structured Training Gloves

I got them at a Nike Factory store for $20


Then I painted them with Tulip Soft Fabric Paint - Holiday Green

Came out a lot nicer than I thought it would!

I was in the process of doing a Young Justice Robin, but scrapped the idea.
I might do a Damian version of my own, instead!
