Work in progress

Hey. I noticed that for supplies you said that you need barge cement/ thinner. Can you substitute that with rubber cement ? Also can you substitute plastidip with some sort of primer/ clear coat?

Plasticoat is flexible. Clear coat would just crack and fall off. Rubber cement is trhe same as Evo-Stick. Barge cement. But thats a generalisation on glue as there are different types of rubber cement. Always best to stick with what you know does the job.

The reason I use the barge cement it's because it's readily available to me and I have years of experience working with it. You should never be afraid to try something new, just remember there will be a learning curve. If there's something that's more readily available to you use that material. Please post about your experiences so we can all learn as you do.

Wondersquid did you undercoat/prime the suit before spraying with plasti-dip?
And how many spray packs did it use to cover it.
Thanks in advance

Hi there! I just found your templates and had to download them straight away. Your Cyberman suit is beautifully done! This will be my first ever foam costume build and I hope my final outcome will look at least as half as good as yours. Just a question or two though, does anyone have any advice on how to scale the templates to fit my height of around 5ft? And what would be the best method of cutting and gluing the foam in such a way that it's cleanly lined as possible?

Thanks!

Where can I get the download link from

Wow! Nice job on the 2013 Cyberman. It took a while for me to get used to this design, but now this is definitely down as my favourite Cyber-suit. I've enjoyed flicking through this thread and scanning through all the amazing photos.

confirmed making a Dalek Ironside for a con coming September. would be awesome to make a second cyberman ! cant wait !

Has anyone tried using the Giant Robot Slippers with sound from thinkgeek? The first time I heard them, all I could think was CYBERMAN!

The Cyberman feet seem to be large enough to fit the mechanism - maybe?

Hello all, saw this thread and jumped at the possibility of patterns and did the appropriate thing. Then looked at the age of the beginning of the thread and am hoping it is still live and that i am going to be able to constuct a Cyberman to go with my Cylon that i have.

the sound unit is very simple; a battery box for 2xAA cells, the sound component housed in a small box aprox 5cm by 3.5cm by 2cm; and a pressure switch.
hmm . interesting . but im going off topic a bit .. anyone knows about cybermen voice changer ?
