CW Arrow Roy Harper / Arsenal

After seeing the season finale of Arrow season 2 I figured a Roy Harper (soon to be Arsenal) build would be a quick/fun one to pull off.

So far the bow & the hoodie have come in. The same Ragim Matrix Jr used in Season 1 for Ollie's bow to be painted red. The hoodie is a Fruit of the Loom burgundy.

BOW

The paint I went with was Krylon ColorMax Red. The spray can handle is one of the best $4 I've spent.

The bow was the same as Season 1. Ragim Matrix Jr 48". I just gave everything a good sanding. Fully sanded off the Ragim Logo and specs off the limbs.

MASK

I had a spare green mask so I figured I'd try painting that one until somebody casts a more accurate one for Roy.

This costume will be more of a just for fun one and possibly for my fiance to wear when I'm in my Hood costume. She seemed pretty excited when I said she could easily wear this stuff, just has to get her own hoodie :D:thumbsup

Finished drying in some better lighting:

I took my screenshot and lightened it up a bit to show the gradient transition.

Should have mine painted tonight w/ pictures to follow!

LIMB GRADIENT

Limbs are painted!

Here's the paint I went with:

I marked where I wanted the two colors to be 100% then, blocked off the red part.

After removing the paper you can see a definitive line.

From there I basically aimed the black at the intersecting point to where I could no longer see a definite line and voila!

Damn well done!

I've been circling the gradient for a few days now, your breakdown will be very helpful!

Thanks bud! I'm glad I can help with something in this quest! And after getting home I realized I forgot to paint the screws (which I had recently painted the gloss red) I might just leave them for now and see how they look. :facepalm
