Cricket Phaser dimensions

Hey folks.
I'm going to attempt to build a TNG cricket phaser replica out of basswood.
I have wood carving experience and most of the tools I'll need.

My question is, does anyone know the dimensions of the cricket? I can't seem to find any blueprints, and I'd hate to just guess the size based on photos.
Maybe some of you have an accurate Cricket replica and could give me some of the size specs?
Thanks!

Hey guys.
Anyone at least have 'length x width' for the cricket?

Wont be accurate, but hopefully it'll resemble a type 1 of some type :)
I can't believe I've waited this long to make some wooden replicas. I know nothing of electronics so they'll be dummies, but I'm mainly interested in displaying (except for my DST phasers which I play with!)

Here's a good photo reference: Type-I Hand Phaser

No sizes though

Thanks! I've seen those pics before and, it really doesn't seem much smaller than the P-1 from TOS.

I found two size references: 3.5" x 1 5/8" and 8.4cm x 4cm.

The block of wood I'm using is 4" x 2". This will have to be a stylized version, since it's my first project.
I really need to learn how to cast, but still, I'm a wood carver and find it to be a nice hobby.
