i think the first pic of "HOLY SPIRITUS" pretty much sums up the work on these.
simply, flat out awesome.
i honestly think other than making one out of gold (or gold plating), this pretty much nailed the movie one.
i know you are new to the board, and probably havent read many posts by me, but i am a cheap cheap *******. i nickle and dime people to death on projects (and fully expect it in return) to get the best prices out there for the best replicas out there.
i dont follow many runs on the board due to the fact this is mostly a rich mans hobby, and i am far from a rich man. however, in the case of these knucks.... when i say i am giving very serious thought to picking a set up in the "not done yet" phase, thats the biggest compliment i can think of.
note, not knocking the price, dont know the price, not trying to lob it into a JY thread, just trying to put the compliment in the right frame of understanding. its not often i look at something done here and go "GOTTA HAVE".
sometimes the talent on this board is scary. between both bobs, mike, howard, and now you and franz, damn i seriously think there is nothing we cannot replicate in any movie anywhere.

Working with Clay has been real easy. I was going to be content with a simple laser etching on some brass knuckles I was going to get water jet cut.
I started this thread because I was interested in the look of these things. Most of the threads I start just get a little interest and end with me trying to bump the topic. This one just snowballed into the perfect project. Clay and Mike's expertise is definitely the icing on the cake.
I know a few people wanted to help out with a run of these but I had a good feeling about Clay. He wasn't tested and had no projects under his belt, but talking to him made me confident that he could pull this off.
You can't imagine how excited I am when I see these things made... I spend a lot of time on little tweaks, cardboard cutouts, sizing issues, hand sketches and idealization problems not even knowing if these things could even be made. I was obsessed with this from start to finish. I was having dreams (and nightmares) of this thing for a month. Clay definitely made my dream/nightmare a reality.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this project and helped it stay alive, especially TimDrakeRobin, Nexus6 and D48thRonin..
Thanks to PropRunner also for all the great advice.. The only negative thing I can say about Clay at this point is that he doesn't take that good of pictures sometimes.

I´ve followed this thread from the start and am very impressed how smooth the ride has been. When Clay jumped in everything really took off and this must be considered to be a success.
But...since noone else seems to have any critisism I will take on the roll of the devils advocate. I understand that u went with an idealized version and that is cool. The only thing that I dont like about it now is that its so obvious that it is a machined piece. The prop is suppused to portrait vatican gold cast into these demon punchers right? I miss the "outline" that enclose the floral pattern. Im looking forward to seeing the cast version.

I agree with the rest of the guys.... These knuckles are just too perfect. What makes them so perfect is that you've made them real. Not like what's in the movie, which are usually just cast resin. Clay, you've brought them to life, into our world and not the world of the movies. I can't express how much thanks I have for you doing this. We're all glad that we have you as a member now, and can't wait what other great things you have in store for us. It's great that we have someone now in your field that has your resources at your disposal.

Were working on a way to include this. The way I originally drew it was way to small for Clay to macine it. Were looking into other ways to include it.
