Constantine Brass Knuckles

Silver ones would be smokin'. Ever thought of having an open ended run of all the props you produce Clay?

How about this--Im considering a solid silver set to whoop up on them damned vampires and werewolves too....

Strictly limited edition order only--Gotta check on material cost first.

That sounds kool. You could also just fill the crosses with Silver. might be cheaper that way.

Clay, don't forget to add the 8 rounds on the outer edges of the knuckles - they're definitely there in the screen-used stunt casting.

Otherwise, stunning work, my friend. :)

Clay, we're talking past each other, and I apologize for not being more clear earlier by using photos to explain myself. These are the rounds I'm referring to:

Nope - they look milled and quite consistent from edge to edge. Send me a 3D surface IGES file of the non-engraved knuckles and I'll add them to show you how I think they should look, and will post the model and the screen-used prop side by side for comparison.

Besides, as you know, there's no contact when scenes like that are shot, even if the knuckles were cast in rubber as a safety precaution. :p

looks like a 2 part casting almost, id say the rounded off areas could just be from a pour that didnt really get the tight edge on it.

that or the demon whomping :D

I wish someone would actually give me credit for knowing what the frak I'm talking about... :unsure

Do whatever you want with it - you asked for feedback and it's my professional assessment that the edges were rounded on the master pattern, and are not a result of air pockets, demon-whomping, or erosion from rubbing against Keanu's 5-o'clock shadow... :rolleyes

Franz I sent you a PM because I cant post in the Junkyard section yet. Im interested in one.

What is the price range going to be?

I hear ya brother...

Clay, et. al.:

Sorry for the snarky post - it's just hard to tell when someone is being serious or humorous when the written words aren't accompanied by a ;)... Then I get frustrated when a sound explanation is given, and somebody ignores it and continues to make incorrect assumptions.

But no harm, no foul - I'm over it and everything is cool. B)

Gabe:

I agree with you. The rounds look consistent from edge to edge and thus appear to me to be designed rather than the result of wear.

As for the post that seemingly ignored your input: Looks as if you may be talking about hydin's Post #328? As only four minutes separated Posts #327 and #328, and since #328 referenced Clay's preceding post and not your intervening post, I'm guessing that #327 and #328 may have been written simultaneously, and that hydin posted without having seen your response to Clay. Just speculating, but I expect it was more likely a quirk of timing than that you were being ignored.

As far as I'm concerned, your expertise has been thoroughly demonstrated and is too valuable to ignore. :)

Okay - probably a silly question, but... will the other side of the knuckles be the same as the side we've been shown?
