I made a Zero/Lelouch helmet for my daughter's Katsucon costume back in February. It was the most complicated thing I've made so far. I was pretty proud of it till I got ahold of some better reference photos and it fell apart on the 2nd day of the con.
I'm now working on a 2nd version of the helmet. I'm applying what I learned about fabrication, thinking in 3D curves and technique. I'm also not rushing to get it done (or trying to spray paint outside in January).
So far, I'm very happy with how it's coming together.
Hope to have it done in the next week. More to come.
