Limited Run CLOSED: Kylo Ren CNC aluminium ultra accurate Saber

Speaking of the drooling over pics to come, as I am broke now prop fund wise, has there been any discussion on weather or not there will be a second run??

Thanks

Not sure, this run was a bit stressful for everyone involved. In the end Scott and I ended up coming out of pocket to get these done, which is part of why there were no screw sets included. I know how much of a pain in the tail this is for everyone, but it was just another expense we couldn't drop in. I know everyone would have paid gladly for a screw set included. Then it came down to pure time and effort. At the end of the day they just got dropped off and we left the opening for some of you folks to do a screw set for others, to spread the love around.

Scott might be looking at doing a second run of the saber, but I surely won't be doing another V1 myself.

Mine arrived today and it is truly a piece of art, I am so happy I got on this run.Fantastic all pro.

Received mine today, too! Beautiful.

Also, the WIRED saber I'm sure was just a painted cast/print, not machined metal.

Glad you guys are happy with the sabers. Photos don't do it justice, it wasn't until I had it in my hands that I realized how sick this thing is.

Thank you! Mine arrived also.

If somebody could take a snapshot of their McMaster checkout list that works for me if they get around to ordering.

Can you tell me where the small button feature goes? I missed it in the thread.

I have all of the screws ordered. I should have them by the end of the week, to double check that they are correct. It looks like each set will be $7 shipped within the US. PM me if interested.

The screw goes in the big metal button/switch, threads into the saber and hold this down, the small cylinder greeblie goes here:

You can shorten the stem a bit to get it to sit right. There is a small groove in the saber body where this should fit into but the slot is to small, and it's going to be a real pain to expand it. I'd suggest chopping the shaft shorter and setting some stiff epoxy glue (JBweld or similar)

Got mine yesterday, and picked up the screws at the local Jerry's Do it Best Hardware store. I got blackened steel and they cost less than $4.00. I can also confirm that the screws DDay listed are correct.

Nice job guys!

Is anyone else planning on drilling and tapping the wire holders and saber body and using a grub screw/thread lock to make sure they stay in place?

I have been tossing around the idea of drilling a tiny hole in the back of each holder and corresponding spot on the body and using a tiny pin to keep them in place in addition to heavy duty epoxy.

A bulk order of screws has arrived and they fit perfect.

It's a bummer I missed out on this run. I can't wait to start seeing finished ones! The design looks fantastic

I too am so sad that I missed out on this magnificent piece. If there is ever a second run, I'd sign up in a heartbeat.
