CLONE WARS weekly discussion thread

Yeah he was cool in that episode. I loved the scene with him and Maul.
Maul "You will pay for your insolence!"
Hondo "We're pirates. We don't even know what that means!" :lol

I still don't like their saucer ships though. That was lazy and it doesn't fit in the universe.

An okay start to a new storyline. I could live without the jealousy between Ahsoka and the rebel chick, but a minor quibble.

I've loved the first 4 seasons because it's been a great mix of good stories, great dialog, and fantastic action.

So far 2 episodes in season 5, I'm bored. I'm hopeful but I was bored during the dialog and I was thinking 'get to the action' and when they did I was still bored.

I'm sure the season will pick up.

Yeah, I liked both episodes so far. Clearly the past one is part of a multi story arc and I was willing to let it build slowly knowing I should watch it with that context in mind. As such i think they built up their story and character interactions well and look forward to seeing how that dynamic unfolds.

The pacing in this weeks episode was better than the last 3, I'm just glad this story arc is over because I thought it was very boring- much like the underwater episodes that ran at the beginning of last season.

When Asoka got shot, my first thought was they were killing her in a gut-punch fashion. I guess that huge laser just 'grazed' her arm.

I thought it was decent, and was glad that someone actually died. These characters are in some form of combat every week and no one ever gets hurt.

I thought it was okay. It furthered Ahsoka as a character. I liked how she reacted when Anakin said "I know what you're going through." Being a teenager is a total mindf**k as it is, I can't see dealing with that and being a Jedi. But.... I want the Republic Commando episode, now!

I've been thinking, what if the very final episodeof the very last season of cone wars will not be an episode at all but a movia just like the very first. this will explain the death of asoko etc , as i cant see a 20 min ep of clone war be enough to explain such loss. so i think movie will be made and in tha movia her death will be explained.

For the last few years, most stories are no longer contained 30 minute shows. They are more like mini-series within the series not to mention connection through ongoing story arc.

However, I agree that the end of the series should have a special broadcast movie. I would also argue that such a broadcast be done in primetime.

From previews, there looks to be some really good Clonetrooper stories coming along. From the interviews, one of the subjects that will be addressed is a look into Order 66.

Ahsoka is smart so I'm thinking she will see the changes in Anakin and maybe take off. Or... Captain Rex will save her. They've pretty much set up Rex leaving in the episode where he met the AWOL Clone. Remember the Commander in charge of the 501st in ROTS was not Rex, who would be the natural choice to lead (since he does throughout the Clone Wars).

Interesting observation about Rex, let's hope that is the case.

Also with regards to this weeks kiddie focused episode, I can't help but think the timing of this episode isnt a coincidence considering the big news this week with Disney. I just hope that when Disney starts to produce these padawan / Jedi baby shows that they don't stop production of more mature focused content.

I've been thinking lately about Rex and Ahsoka and wondering if maybe just maybe their characters would feature in the much talked about live action tv series set after ROTS? Their adventures after order66 perhaps, I'd watch that

i'd love watching a grown up live action ahsoka centered tv show...:)

That episode was interesting, but I couldn't believe they didn't show them building their lightsabers. That's what everyone wants to see! Maybe it's a two parter, I don't know.

I'm sure that's coming.. eventually... they have a lot of episodes to fill.
I liked how the time limit and the threat of being trapped inside was also part of the ruse and that the frozen wall was nothing more than "Only frozen water, it was. Easily broken." :lol

about the thing with adult asohka

wasnt there the episode where they were in the center of the force, where ahsoka had a vision of herself as an adult? wouldnt that mean she will make it to be an adult?
