I am working on an alternate right leg with a view to doing a standing up version of this guy, basically I'll cast a copy to repose standing up or wrapped around something. I think in season 4 there's a lizard having a knife fight with another creature so maybe something like that

Wow, that is definitely some amazing work. Have you considered possibly doing a couple of different kinds? For example, there was Picaroon C. Boodle - Picaroon C. Boodle - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki
I can imagine a Monkey Lizard with a little lightsaber being an interesting build.

Thanks BenPass yeah i thought I might try a couple of different paints jobs and poses. I guess anything more than that would be a heavier custom job. But yeah no reason not to try a resculpt at some later point

hey all I have finally finished molding the lizard and have had a chance to do some assembly and paint of the master. I'm not finish with paint yet a few more passes and then it will serve as a good reference for future paint jobs.
I based it out in white then a pretty vibrant yellow and then went in with a red. It's a wee bit more orange than what I was hoping for but I am going to cool down the paint job with some acrylics. Overall I've really enjoyed this project and the end result looks good.
The customising potential of this guy is endless I'm going to have to make another one right away. I'm quite keen on painting an albino lizard for some reason. I'm going to try and make my own eyeballs too out of clear casting resin and tints. Comments and critique most welcome

I want one. In Star Wars The Old Republic, I have a pet Monkey Lizzard that follows my charactor around. You should make a kit. People would buy them. I would put mine in my office.

Thanks cratecritter I might have to start hiding a few around the place!
Hey Lazerblade yeah I have made all the molds for this little beast. Surprisingly I had to make 15 molds to be able to replicate the lizard. I'll post pics of the molds, they are very simple 2 part molds I wanted to keep the casting as hassle free as possible.
I can make you a kit set version if you like. PM me and we can sort something out. If there's enough interest I'll probably do something in the JY.

Hey that's a great idea. I could cast it in foam with an aluminium rod for an armature which would allow you to wrap round things. Thanks for the suggestion!

Finished painting the lizard and made up a quick display base. I've cast up a couple of resin lizards to muck around with and a mate of mine is after one. I have had a couple of requests for a lower cost kit of this to be made available. I am going to experiment with some self skinning urethane foam to see if I can do this. Some of my molds are exactly designed to take too much expanding pressure from foams but the pieces don't need a lot of material so we'll see!

Thanks guys! I'll take pics of my molds soon. I'm already planning a reposed albino version of this guy from some reject casts I made, game on!

And here's a pic of the molds. they are simple two part molds for the most part but work well for casting resin. Seam lines are pretty minimal which is good because lets face it we all hate mold lines!
