Celebrity jerks?

interesting how when she's doing it people think she's sht hot and awesome to watch, then when she's not it's some sort of **** behaviour to make derogatory comments about.
did it occur to you that a good percentage of people there to see her were aware of that fact and that's the reason they were there?

Exactly. I worked for Traci Lords as security. I can only say she was very nice, cordial, accommodating, and just as disturbed about the extra security that ended up being completely justified. Her fans are creepy in a way many have never before witnessed. I spent a great deal of time with her that weekend and I can honestly say she was a trooper, and we had a cool open conversation as I drove her to the airport.

And that was probably why they kept people away, worried about "fans" who might behave inappropriately.

Very inappropriately. In my decades working security for cons, celebrities, musicians, concerts, etc. One of the worst physical confrontations I had with a fan was with her appearance at a con.

I wonder if those people remember that she was a minor for a good majority of those films, etc. According to the law it's all child pornography.

On a related note, she was at D*C some years ago (for some bad SciFi movie). Her goon squad of a security detail was physically pushing people out of the way so she could get on the crowded escalator. I really want to blame the over zealous fanboy head of security for that.

Good majority? Only 1 film of the (100+) in her entire adult career was filmed after her 18th birthday. I laughed at your fanboy comment. I was brought in to work security specifically for "glamor girls" like T.L. for exactly that reason. Fanboy volunteers would just lose their minds when confronted with these women.

Mine isn't so much a movie celebrity, but a major celebrity to me. Three years ago George RR Martin was a guest at a small local con and he did a reading from Dance with Dragons, and some panels on writing in Hollywood. But the best part of the entire convention is at night they have party suites all around the pool area and there was a Westeros party suite. George sat in the party suite all Friday and Saturday night drinking and talking with everyone and anyone that came in. Was a great guy and an awesome experience all around.

Awesome you had a great experience. I've heard the opposite from others that have met him. I never have. Just keep hearing he is way out there for an author.

ok i forgot one. melinda from RW austin. wowza! her bf was really mad i was taking a pic with her....but if he wanted to be safe from the crowd that night he might wanna let the bouncers talk to her LOL

wow, she is totally hot, I do believe she and jealous BF are divorced now, (betcha his psycho jealousy had something to do with that) Im a fan not a stalker but if you GIS "Melinda Real World Drunk" there are some great pictures

By the way here is a very eye-opening video about the whole "Jake Lloyd" thing.

Anakin Skywalker (Jake LLoyd) not so happy 10 years after Star Wars - YouTube

I think I would like the guy if I ever met him. He seems very down-to-Earth and extremely intelligent. Very well-spoken. Some of the observations he makes are quite profound.

Looks like he's turned into a pretty cool guy IMO. He's certainly been through a lot.
He was a guest at JediCon 2010 in Germany. He had a Q&A session from which I especially remember him saying:

"I WAS TEN!"

"I avoid the Internet like the plague!"

lol cool! im not sure if it was the pic i took with her or another one,but her bf was immediately out of frame or just in frame depending on the picture and just looking at me with murder in his eyes. what a D bag.

PS. GREAT pics!!

My most memorable was....Well, I don't want to mention any names, but it rhymes with...Yngwie Malmsteen.

It involved him throwing a full-on b***h-fit tantrum because his runners couldn't find Swedish cigarettes in the middle of Orange County, California, and an innocent female walking in on said "celebrity" putting on a girdle in the unlocked bathroom that was doubling as a makeshift dressing room and the hilarity that ensued. :lol

Good times. ;)
i seen him in concert, he was a serious jerk. my guitar player who thought he could walk on water, walked away from the concert not likeing the guy any more. he was very fake.

Living in Southern California some cool stuff happens with celebrities around here. My friend from high school who and I are both Old school car guys, called me on Saturday Night asking if I still have my Chevelle Station Wagon from High school. I of course did and he asked if I would not mind sending him a few pictures. Long story short there was a last minute decision to use a classic station wagon for a monday photo shoot for a french magazine with both Kristen Stewart and Garret Hedlund(Sam Flynn from Tron Legacy). Of which mine ended up being used. Got to meet both actors, Kristen and Garret for a few minutes. Tried to make chat with Kristen a little bit but she seemed very un-interested. However she was very professional on the shoot I give her that. Garret was very cool he and I ended up talking for nearly 20 minutes, bout anything from cars, to Minnesota(of which I had visted bout a year ago) to everything else. A all around nice guy, and very kind to a average joe like me. Do not get me wrong I am by no means saying Kristen is a jerk or anything, she just seemed either very busy or not interested in talking to a average guy in a suit and Tie.

I did take a picture or 2. I will wait for the magazine to come out before I post them as I was asked by my friend to. Those of you going to the So Cal prop party will get a sneak peek though

Garret strikes me as being a very down-to-earth kind of guy, glad to see he actually is that way.

Oh he is for sure, they were doing a 40's/50's type costume I guess for the magazine, they had his hair done in a pompador. I managed to strike up a conversation by just simply saying you got that real James dean look going on and him seeing my James Dean tie. He and I then started talking for quite a few minutes about James Dean, then about his(James Dean's) car the little Bas**rd. After a few minutes he shakes my hand and we go bout formal introductions such as names. Then he very nicely asks what I am doing there, like you the photographer's assistant or something. I then explain that is my wagon. We then start talking bout it and other cool cars and bikes including the ducati he got to ride for Tron. Then I mention to him about how he was born in Minnesota, and we start talking bout that for a few minutes, and bout my vacation out there in spring of 2011. We continued to talk for 20+ minutes on a few other things while, Ignoring the photographer trying to wave him back for the next set of shots 3 or 4 times. Then finally being pressured by the rest of the crew to go back, he went back to work. Very Definately a down to earth guy.

Most of the folks I've met at Cons have been really nice. I've really only got three 'jerk' stories.

Shawnee Smith - Part of the quest to get my Summer School laser disc autographed by as many people as possible. She was an hour late getting back from lunch, then proceeded to talk to someone on the phone away from her table and ignore all four of us in line. Eventually her handler just grabbed our stuff and walked it over to where she was. After eye-rolling anything that wasn't Saw, she finally scribbled on the stuff and shooed the handler back over to us.

James Marsters - I was waiting with a friend who was trying to complete his Buffy autograph collection. Marters was refusing to personalize anything, saying he'd hurt his hand after punching a priest. (So edgy.) He also refused to make eye contact with anything that didn't sport a significant pair of breasts. Juliet Landau was at the table next to him and was taking extra time to be nice to folks Marsters was being snippy with, which seemed like a nice gesture.

Tara Strong - Rude and so incredibly self-absorbed. She was another one who wouldn't make eye contact with anyone and she refused to engage in conversation except with the other voice actors around her. Every time someone tried to talk to her, she'd sort of nod and then turn to the other celebrities around her and start talking about how hard she worked at whatever role was represented in the object to be signed. Of the three 'jerk' incidents, she sticks out the most over the aura of pure disdain she radiated whenever someone bothered her.

That sucks to hear, I have such a crush on her at the moment.

I never understood why some celebs at signings act this way, people are paying their hard earned cash to get you to write your name on something for them, be courteous as you take their money. Don Bluth is the king...was drawing pics for free to anyone who wanted one at DragonCon one year...long line to meet him.

I was quite disappointed as I enjoyed a lot of her work. Sadly the experience has kind of soured me on her VA these days. I cringed when she took over Harley in Arkham City.

I had to double-check who you were talking about there, I thought you were talking about James Marsden, who always struck me as a pretty cool guy. I kept thinking "wait.. he was on Buffy?" lol
