CCX remodeling ! into X-WING RED2

Hi!

One day I received the envelope from foreign country and found a long-awaited thing in it.
That’s HO BRICK SHEET!:unsure

YES! HO BRICK SHEET was provided to me from one of very kind foreign friend. I appreciated his act very much. He did not demand anything about this. What a good guy! :love

I want to use all of this for CCX-RED2, but if I do so I must look for HO BRICK SHEET again for building another X-WING in future.
Therefore I decided to cast this HO BRICK SHEET. Because it was a very thin product like paper, I thought it was very difficult to cast it.
But I was able to make a casting product of the available level.:thumbsup
Would you look at that?

A little update.:)

I attached BRICK SHEET to wing.
The BLUE1 pic of the CD from STUDIO SCALE DECAL of Jason was very useful to attach the BRICK SHEET.:thumbsup
Thank you, Jason!

Hi!:)

I'm struggling with the rear section of RED2.
I make a comparison pic and build it little by little.:confused

Hi! all. Sorry for the long absence.:)

The making of master pattern of the rear section of RED2 was completed.:thumbsup
Because I needed the precision of the parts like the parts of plastic model, I sanded lateral parts many times for fitting nicely with the top and the bottom.
Therefore it took me long time to complete. :confused

I'm gonna cast all parts from now on.
The top and the bottom are basic parts.
I have a plan to make the rear section of RED3 and RED5 by remaking of lateral parts. :)

Can't wait to see the progress.

Hi! Katsu-san:)
Long time no see! lol
BTW, your work alway give me good stimulation. I believe that your new work, I mean your newest battle ship, would be a magnificent one.:thumbsup

About RED2, I have few reference pics of the fuselage itself, especially bottom of fuselage, I must build it by my imagination.
Please stay tuned.:wacko

Hi all,

I just would like to say great job as usual atom!

And...

I've found a lot of stock of H&R HO brick sheets. They say HO-101 WIDE on one end and HO-101 on the other.

I'm assuming they're elongated compared to the normal bricks, but they also match up well with the EFX x-wing. But they're not as defined as the EFX part. They look more van-formed as they actually are. Can anyone confirm that these sheets might work?

I've got a large sheet of it and can share with anyone needing it for their build, as long as the build is in progress and there's an immediate need. I'll just put it in an envelope and mail it off. Sound good?

Hey, Scott-san!:)
Long time no see!
Thank you for your kind words.

And about your suggestion...it seems very interesting!:unsure
But , sorry, umm...I can not get what you say... van-formed?...please say it in another words...umm....your explanation is a little bit hard to understand because I am a Japanese. :facepalm

Would you please attach the pics of the brick sheet which you have?:)

Yes, I have holgate reynolds brick sheets. I think it is the correct sheet. I will post pics later to show a comparison to the pyro resin model I have. It is free to anyone who needs it for a build here on the RPF. Ok?!

I will also post this in the permanent x-wing sticky.

Hi!
I cast all parts of the rear section today.:)

It totally seems like the parts of the plastic model by using gray resin.
I am satisfied with the result.:thumbsup

I will send you pieces as long as you are building an x-wing in a thread here. I don't want to run out of it based on future builds. The sheet is 8 inches by 20 inches. I can get more, but it isn't free either, so I'd rather use only small portions for a person currently scratching an x-wing. Do you need some for this particular build? It seems you already have some from Kevin for this x-wing.

Just pm me whenever you need some for a build.

Here are photos of it next to the pyro x's wing:

Thanks, Scott-san!:)

I PM you.

It looks similar to the original pattern.

What a great surprise!

I think other guys who scratching X-WING must need it.

Hey, Moska-san! Don't you need it? lol :rolleyes

Atom-san, great part breakdown ! Very nice casting, it'll be a killer once finished !

Ok Moska. All set to go out tomorrow.

Atom: just send me your mailing information please.

I'm glad to help you guys with your builds. I still can't believe I found the holgate and reynolds brick sheet needed! :) Someday I hope to use some of it with my own build too!
