Cassian Andor (Andor Series) Blaster (MW-20 Bryar Pistol)

I think I have spotted a couple details that are not in the 3D model. These are visible in the posters from Enormicon's post on page 2.

There looks to be a shallow groove detail on the first "barrel band" section, similar to the one further forward.
I can see only faintly in only a couple screencaps posted in this thread, but it is clear in the poster and also in the action figure's blaster in the first post. Because it is in on different sides in different images, I would think it is present on both the left and the right sides.

There is a seam line in the section behind the frame with the rotating box, which makes me think that the frame could be symmetric — equally thick at the front and back. There is a then a "plate" of material behind it.
I have seen this only in two posters, but not yet in a screencap.

Oh, pretty! Thanks for sharing it!

How would you recommend orienteing the "magazine frame"? I prefer to print things like this in ABS for easy sanding and painting, but the centre tube there - can we call it an arbour on a blaster? - would be a really long bridge if the frame was just laid on its side.

I designed it to be printed upright, so that the central axle is as concentric as possible.
If you wanted to print it sideways, the ends of the axle have spot-drills in place so that you can drill out your print and fit a metal or plastic rod instead.

I think there are a couple of areas which can be improved, especially with splitting the print up, but I'll do that when we have some more reference images out so I can release one bigger update :)

Love the deep dive that’s already been done in such a short time. The series is by far the best SW we’ve had since TESB. There’s time for things to go off the rails but so far it’s been absolutely stellar on all fronts! This blaster does have a serious BR vibe to it though.

The grip is smaller than the frame too.

It's not just that because the grip and grip frame needs to be reshaped. However, this is all new info and I believe he was working from a file predating the last episode. I am sure he knows what mods need to be done.

It's looking good!

Hey everyone, thanks for your support.

Joberg and Birdie, don't worry! I've finished updating the design and have uploaded it this evening on the usual websites here:

Here’s my take on the blaster! Just finished this one up! Files by mmmystery makers, resin printed on elegoo Saturn. Moving trigger and rotating chamber. Real steel screws in the grips.

Looks really nice and clean. Great weathering work as well! I recently just got a Saturn 2 printer but it’s still in the box sadly. How durable is that print u have and what resin did u print it with out of curiosity?? It looks really solid. Nice work!

It’s pretty weighty and durable, the rotating chamber is printed solid so I has some heft. There are definitely some weaker points, but not bad, the pieces attach between grip and chamber, it’s got CA glue and e6000 both so it’s held in place pretty strong. The resin is definitely a little brittle but they make more durable versions. I used siraya tech fast gray.

This looks so great! Do the screws hold the grips in place or are they just there to match appearance?
