Some slightly better ones (maybe?, ha ha), and some odd angles where the reflections give us a bit more of a clue... (EDIT: Screencap 10 is interesting as you can see right through the "skeleton", below the revolving portion)

A few more.. the grip appears to have a metal skeleton and adjoining grips with some sort of eyelet or something on the back end

I can't help noticing this dude's outfit and weapon has him rocking some serious Blade Runner vibes. The gun really reminds me of Harrison's from the first film. Maybe not in exact looks but it's got that same feel.

First test print! Body is FDM and all other pieces are resin. Grips are a place holder as they’ve already been updated. Will be reprinting the spinning chamber in a different orientation for pieces fitting together better. All in all not bad at all!

Fantastic! (P.S. and thanks for the motivation to get my foam version done ;)). I'm going with the K-16 concept grip, which I'm sure isn't going to end up being accurate, but looks cool... once we're at that point where we know what it actually looks like I'll likely end up printing yours I'm sure, ha ha.. ...although if someone makes this in resin or metal, with an actuating barrel.. I'M IN!

That concept version is so bad ass. Yea I’m going to start finishing this one, I’m hoping that we get some better shots of it this Wednesday. I’m sure it will be V1 but I think I can get it pretty close, doing some dark gun metal paint tests today!

There seems to be a "Recoil" features at the side of the weapon. Looks like 2 small doors opening and closing real fast. Almost like re-charging the gun. Did anyone saw that feature? (3rd episode)

Progress on a foam version.. funny how its flaws jump out at me when viewing this on a computer monitor... hmm, its also looking quite a bit longer than the actual one too.. ah well, more to do, and like you said, v1! ...wondering out loud if it might have Mauser broomhandles too, based on that shot from behind (?)...

Man this is too cool! I’m going to have to attempt one of these now

Prepping parts for paint, and doing paint tests at the moment. Question for those on the thread. In the close up of the blaster. The edges/weathering highlights seem to be almost a copper look. While blaster is a black/gun metal metallic. Do we think that’s how it actually is? Or just the lighting that makes it that copper look? Could be some the orange costume highlights reflecting…please share your thoughts!

Hey everyone!

I’ve released my Cassian Andor blaster pistol file, which is currently free to download on Cults3D and CGTrader.

The blaster has been designed with FDM printing in mind, so lots of surfaces that can be printed flat against the bed-
the design also includes a rotating magazine and moving trigger- all you’ll need is a small elastic band.
Since I couldn’t find reference for the handle, the grips were inspired by Han Solo’s DL-44

Let me know how you get on with printing, here are the links (CG Trader is still pending approval as the listing is a weapon)

Oh, pretty! Thanks for sharing it!

How would you recommend orienteing the "magazine frame"? I prefer to print things like this in ABS for easy sanding and painting, but the centre tube there - can we call it an arbour on a blaster? - would be a really long bridge if the frame was just laid on its side.

Seeing a full render of it. It feels like a big brother to the NN-14 (Rey's blaster) as opposed to a Bryar-type pistol.
