I actually did finish the costume but I wasn't 100% happy with it and didn't get a ton of photo's. There's been a few people though that have been interested in seeing the finished product so it's probably about time I put up the few pictures I do have.
Thanks! It was a big hit when I wore it to work. Hopefully at some point I can revisit it.
My big issues were that the color of the gloves where they connected to the gauntlet didn't match, and the same thing on the boots. I ran out of time on the pants, so I had to just kind of hack them together with a pair of blue pants and a glue gun. And the shield/helmet, again ran out of time so I didn't have time to properly sand/fill/smooth it.
Thanks! It was my first sewing project. I had never sewn anything before that. It was quite the learning experience. Youtube videos were a valuable resource.

I'm working on modifying a Capt America store-bought costume for Mikey this year. It won't be ANYWHERE near as cool as your custom-built one! That sewing work on the top is really really good. I can't believe that's your FIRST sewing project! :eek
Did you have a pattern for the sewing or did you free hand the pieces? I really want to do this costume but not having luck on research for the sewing portion.
