Well i presume capt america needs his creditcards somewere and change money. And as capt america he must use Amex.

I'll agree with the food/water/medical supplies hypothesis. Cap would still need to eat and drink, but its tedious stuff and not worth the panels.

On top of that he is a super hero! He is saving people all the time. I'm sure he could carry something in those pouches for wounded people or famished POWs.

Maybe a radio too, I don't recall seeing him use radios, but as a military man he should appreciate the usefulness of staying in touch.

I think the WWII style Ultimates costume would work perfect, they would not have to change a thing. Same for the regular Ultimates version in the Avengers no changes needed will look bad ass.

Taken at MetroCon 2008. (Not my costume btw) Looks pretty decent in real life.

I can see this as a "starting" outfit then getting modernized as part of the movie.

I think the movie will be set all in WWII and then he will end up frozen. The avengers movie will start out with him being unfrozen and then we will get a new costume for that. I just hope Marvel doesn't screw this up, it has the potential to be great.

Pretty much the standard color pallet, but how's this?

Pretty close to what I had in my head. I do like the doubling of the red stripes, and the red on the pauldrons as well as the color difference in the base blue and chestplate.

Maybe a darker red tho. More of an oxblood. Or is that too escapist of the red? (ala Daredevil).

If they go with a lame CGI movie, I guess they can stick with the Comic Book costume. What a shame. I was REALLY looking forward to this movie and those costumes!

BladeFanChuckster - It is not a CGI movie, Just read the article that is linked in the other thread. It was an interview with a writer back in March about how he could see it being a CGI movie (the Avengers) and how he thinks there will be more CGI comic hero movies in the future.
It is in no way an "official" real statement about these movies (yet I have seen you post in both threads like it was - so I wanted to point that out to you)

check out this original captain america costume i made for my independent movie "I Am Xman". i have been told by several viewers that it is one of the most authentic captain america costumes ever. on the other hand several viewers have also told me that it looks nothing like captain america's suit. What do you think? it was fun making this costume and it's fun seeing it in action. please tell me what you think about it. you can see this costume in the trailer at YouTube - I AM XMAN CAPTAIN AMERICA TRAILER!!!!
