Captain America: Civil War (Post-release)

Im a huge DC fan and i gotta say, I absolutely LOVED this flick. I've liked and enjoyed the entirety of pretty much every Modern Marvel film but this one in particular was brilliantly executed on pretty much all levels and it made me feel like watching them all again.. Im a big believer in props when props should be given, and this film definitely deserves props!! Marvel are killing it :thumbsup

Nothing wrong with being a DC fan and still liking what Marvel releases tho ;)

same boat here. every film put out by dc in modern times is a huge mis done flop minus the first and third nolan trilogy to me.

but everything in the marvel universe is new to me, so this is my first time around. it's night and day in quality.

What was wrong with Nolan's second Batman movie? I thought the third movie was the worst of the bunch by far.

i've only seen the first one twice, and the last two once...so i'm going by memory here.

but for some reason i felt that the third one was a bit more fun for some reason.

It's been stated many a times here, but i didn't care for ledgers joker. i didn't care for the wasted inclusion of two face. the killing of his former girlfriend felt weird....and bats being blamed for it all... i don't know.

it just didn't come off to me as a good movie.

I've always preferred d.c. as a comic company to marvel. And historically, they were the only ones making movies. But you can't argue with the success of the MCU. it's mind blowing that the general populace actually knows who ant-man is.

Which brings me to a point with the D.C. films. They need to stop making movies about superman. About batman.

Let's have some less iconic characters on screen. Swamp thing, green arrow. Let's have a friggin' hawk man movie that takes place on his home world!

In a nutshell DC needs a guy like Marvel's Kevin Feige - a person who both loves and knows the comics and has a great vision when it comes to finding directors who are proficient with both character and action.

You can't just do Swamp Thing, Hawk Man or Deadman unless someone can crack the code to make them work on film. Then DC needs the balls to greenlight them. IMO Marvel proved they had the huevos when they committed to making Thor ... then again when they did Guardians of the Galaxy.

I agree. Thor was really the character that I never though would work on film. So of Thor is possible, so is Martian manhunter.

And if guardians of the galaxy is possible, so is an adaptation of hawk world (man, I would love to see that)

Can't get over this moment. Have seen it a bunch of times now and it never fails to make me laugh out loud. "Holy ****!" And then Paul Rudd's insane scientist laugh, hahahah. Brilliant moment.

Vision kind of IS their version of Martian Manhunter.

Watching the extras on captain america, Dr.Strange is pretty much Fate from the DC world.

also just find it laughable.
they have a character called the ancient one who apparently lives in a tibetan temple..

out walks a 40 something (?) shaved head white woman....
sorry, Marvel. I'm not buying it ;o)

wow this bluray sucks major ass (except for the steelbook).......
where are the awesome making-of features like the ones on the early iron man films.
marvel is really going downhill with these extras.

I usually wait for the "extra features" to show up on youtube.
More often than not they're don't impress me enough to justify paying for them. More often than not it actually takes a lot of the allure away when you see how much of it is green screen and fake. I watched one for The Force Awakens and was honestly surprised by how much of it wasn't shot on location with practical sets/props

Whoa...there arent any special making of features?! What the hell? Should I wait for some other ultimate version to come out?

There is a two part making-of feature called United We Stand, Divided We Fall -- The Making of Captain America: Civil War. It was a good 20 or 30 minutes at least.. Featured plenty making-of and BTS...

I finally got to see this tonight. I really liked it. I'm surprised they haven't done a bad movie yet. I really liked the Spiderman scenes because he's like a fanboy fighting his heroes. I also liked the Falcon in the car (after arrest) saying something like "So you like cats..." "What? The dude is dressed like a cat and we're not supposed to ask about it?" (paraphrasing). :lol Oh and Antman saying he was Stark's conscience when he heard him talking inside his suit.
