Captain America Avengers/Hybrid Costume -- 95% Complete! New Belt

Thought I'd post about this now that I have a few of the pieces. I just finished painting the boots and received the custom top in the mail. It was done by a zentai/cosplay maker out of china. I'm happy with how it came out. Need to get a chest star, so if anyone makes a nice Avengers style one, let me know. I previously had one from Bamabat, but I haven't seen him around lately.

I have the pants as well, need to make the gloves and find a suitable belt.

Looks like a great start. The shield, of course, is beautiful. You're also fortunate to have a very good Steve Rogers look! In a way, you resemble Chris Evans. Can't wait to see more.

I'd love to do one similar to my profile pic. It's a manip of the costume from Kick Ass that I stumbled across a few years back. I thought it would make a cool suit, but I don't know where to start with it!

It's not from a site. It's a seller on ebay. Goes by mengde_9998. Does nice custom work, as you can see

Anyone know how well Molle gear (cordura) accepts paint? I want to buy some molle pouches for the belt but will need to paint them blue. Has anyone tried this?

Finally got some time to update this thing! Got a star from Fourth Wall Designs and I love it! Also got some gloves which are being painted now. Found a great deal on a set of pouches for the belt on eBay, also being painted. Feast your eyes:

I'll take some better pics of it eventually. I've just been using my phone to snap these progress shots. Also, I plan on adding snaps or velcro to the pants/shirt so the shirt doesn't untuck itself so much.

Ended up abandoning those other pouches and went with this ammo belt. I washed the original color out and dyed it navy blue. I'm happy with how it turned out:

I used the duplicolor metalcast paints on the shield.

Thanks! Glad to finally have made some new progress. Next up I am going to make the gauntlets. Still haven't quite decided what I want to do with that. Might get some nice leather a use leather paint again, or I may use foam and pleather. We shall see.
