Interest Cap shield replica

Looking forward to the Masterworks measures. (y)
IMO, regardless of the fact that different shields were used on screen across all these movies, this should provide us with the best template for a screen accurate shield.

Interested, though don't think I can swing $2k for one fully assembled and painted. But if it's a blank, I can hopefully afford that one.

UPDATE:

I'm still waiting to hear back from a local company. It's being reviewed by their engineering team. I should know something this week!

The problem with the listed measurements from the Disney store or the auction is that they don't state whether they were measured across the back or along the arc on the front of the shield. I was messing around with this in CAD today and here is what I am seeing. I tried to line up the star as best that I could. There is apparently some distortion in this image of the original TFA prop. If anyone has a better picture let me know.

For reference of arc length (front of the shield) vs chord length (back of the shield). This could be causing a discrepancy in size depending on where the measurement was taken.

Like I mentioned before, we can't go off photos of the shield, since the star is closer in photo-perspective than the back diameter. Think of it as a 'bug-eye' lens photo shot, where the perspective is distorted, and the center is brought closer. There is about a 3/4" difference in the size of the star compared to the outer diameter of the shield when looking at photos.

UPDATE:

So far, I have not had any luck finding someone to take this project on.

The past three companies have stated that it's too complex and they do not want to take this on, even if it's just a blank shield.
I'll try contacting some more, but it's not looking good so far...

Time to contact a factory in China?

Bummer your having no luck, You made these a while back I'm sure you contacted who ever did them before, well fingers crossed , I've seen the last one you did and they came out epic.
Good luck, I'll be standing by.

I'm still crossing my fingers on this, however if things don't pan out, I'll be aggressively searching for an EFX shield that I plan on refinishing to look better. At that point, should it arise, a fiberglass shield cast off an original will be the next best thing. I'm fortunately not a "all metal or bust" kind of guy with this prop considering many non-metal versions were used...which brings me to my next suggestion; why not consider a fiberglass version? The EFX one had a few areas that could be improved upon, specifically the barely visible etched lines in the star, the bland backside and the cheap leather.

I really hope this run becomes a reality, for the majority of us the Masterworks one will never be an option, available or otherwise.

Still have my fingers crossed there's a breakthrough on this run. Is there a remote chance it moves forward, any ongoing research, etc? Or is this officially dead?

I live in Cleveland we have have a plethora of CNC facilities around.

If someone can give me the specs that need to be asked, I can call around and see who can do it for this project.

Just a 25" spun shield with CNC engraved star first?

Is that about the jist of what needs to be asked?

Can someone provide me the file to send over to them for review?

I've found a couple of CNC machinists that believes they can do the engraving of the star. But one said his Y axis is limited to 24" though, so that may be the width the shield has to be. I know some were hoping for 25", but I think 24" with an engraved star is acceptable?

The other guy hasn't mentioned a Y axis limitation, but did state he can do the engraving of the star.

Is 25" the preferred size of this Ultimate Shield?

Also, he would like to look at the file to get a better idea on everything, RelicMaker could you please send it to me in a PM? Or I can give you his email if you wanted to just send it directly to him, just shoot me a PM either way and I can provide his info.
