Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

I messaged the seller to ask if those Persols were the 55mm or 58mm versions, but got no response, but that was like when they were only at $39.99!!
I actually gave him an offer through messages too and no response either. He only messaged back when I asked when he would be shipping them out. Tomorrow. Thats all I got lol

Karen Walker Ali in bronze are on massive sale right now (54 USD), with free worldwide shipping, I just ordered one and there's still some left as of the time I am posting! Not likely to show up cheaper than that!

Thanks man!!(y)(y) Well spotted and at such a great price.

Shame the "10% off code" for subscribing didn't work too, but the free shipping is awesome - Why can't all eyewear brands offer complimentary global shipping? Lol.

Just got my order confirmation email through and then went back to the website, but it looks like they might be all gone??

The Ali have been out of production a while and I googled them a while back and found nothing, so I bet this is a case of cleaning out a warehouse and finding a few under a tarp on a back shelf next to the Ark of the Covenant. When I got the black Ali there was only the single pair. The site doesn't show inventory numbers, so all I can do is hope there were 3 for the 3 of you!

I totally agree, (found next to the Ark of the Covenant, lol), definitely a case of them finding a hidden remaining few pair.

This is exactly how I found my OP Strathmore and Raen Ditmar, they just appeared one day out of the blue as "in stock- 1 left", despite the website always previously stating "out of production and no longer in stock".

I just hope my order confirmation email is soon followed by a shipping confirmation and a tracking number!!

If anyone is a Royal Farms rewards member, today with your reward card you get a free pair of sunglasses!! I know, I know, gas station sunglasses aren't the best, but they're great for when you don't want to risk damaging or losing your Stark frames.

Don't know these, but I kinda like them. From a visit to Berlin in April 20, 2016. Couldn't find a really nice front view, but I did find an excellent side shot.

Ali are here! No wonder the lens color was confusing at first, it's a purpley blue that looks either blue or purple depending on the lighting.

A question for you guys... I have noticed that the internet info on ephemeral stuff like discontinued eyewear is already visibly fading from existence, with sites gone, companies changing hands and image links in press releases going dead even just from the time I joined this thread.

Now, we know RDJ has at least 4 pairs from one of my favorite series, the Oliver Peoples/TheSoloIst collaborations. Because I like these and think it possible we could find he owns more, I'm trying to a form a complete picture catalog of all of them before all record of them is deleted from the internet. I'm most of the way there, just missing pics of a couple, although I don't know the actual model numbers for most as the press releases didn't tend to give those.

Would you guys like me to post the assembled info here for common reference? I'm thinking in one big post that I add to as I find the last pics and the model numbers. The reason I ask is, it would mean posting a dozen not-yet-RDJ-but-maybe-they-will-be frames.

Wow, that would be awesome!!(y) - An ongoing reference point and go to, before as you say, the images and info. are lost altogether.

I too have noticed images of frames (along with all of their info.) disappearing and without internet reference images to look through, frames are almost nearly impossible to ID.

Thanks for the images Schlegel and the headache!! o_O Lol.

Okay, after thinking that this might be an etched temple logo...
20230604_165531.jpg

...Sent myself in the wrong direction searching for similar shaped eyewear logos.

So after no leads, instead I've looked at every pair of this style frame out there and after a few days of going seemingly nowhere, eventually got the breakthrough when some similar looking frames with round arms matched up!!...Phew!!

Schlegel, I think these are Burberry BE 2195 3534 (matte grey havana) RX frames with custom very light pink lenses 53□17 145...;)

Hope this helps dude!!

After a few searches of "RDJ in Berlin", found a few extra images too from that shopping trip.

From what I can gather, these frames are available in both 53mm and 55mm. I think that looking at how small they look on RDJ, his pair are most probably the 53mm.

It looks like the Burberry logo is only "printed" onto the temple arm and not "etched" into the metal, which would account for the light not catching it in the images.

Although technically, the size and fit should be very similar indeed to the same sized 53mm Dior Black Tie 137 (53□17 145).
With the Burberry 2195 available in a larger size option, I'm now in two minds whether or not to go for the larger 55mm.

BTW, he also wore some Matsuda M3023 in the same trip to Berlin (same jacket) when he met with Daniel Brühl...

The blue 52mm Matsuda M3023 don't seem anywhere near being discontinued yet (reassuringly still being sold on Matsuda's website) so rather than dive in at full price, which can be as much as an eye-watering $791...o_O

You don't really have much to lose if you choose to sit it out for a bargain pair, that's what I did!! That bargain pair or crazy deal will arrive eventually with regular searching and patience my friend!!

Indeed, if a pair is in production, patience is a virtue. I got the blue Matsuda for $150, you might not do that well but better than MSRP is achievable!

Yes sir I sure do have the patience and the tolerance for my wallets sake as well! I search as much as I can. Ive gotten some great deals and paid too much for pairs I thought Id never see again. But this is a lose/win then wait to win game
