I got a second Persol for free

Here's a pair shown on Amazon Canada if the case is the issue.

Flight 006 with gold nosepads
There's quite a few give away signs, apart from the ropey box and case...

The etching on the lens looks too "bunched up"

The model no. on the arm isn't straight and looks badly printed in an almost yellow color..

and should be laser etched like this...

On the other arm the "Dita" logo looks really off, it isn't straight either and the "A" looks awful...

and not at all like this...

I don't think Dita would get that bit wrong, these are high end eyewear frames.

The lens surrounds don't appear to be translucent.

On real 006's, the nose pad holder arms come "down over" from higher up on the frame....

The Poshmark 006's nose pad holder arms derive from lower down on the frame and come "up over"..

Hey if you guys have glasses that are getting old and are starting to get that white film/fading over them, it means the frames don't have a clear coat and the cellulose cells are damaged due to light damage or rapid changes in temperature.

So don't leave your glasses in your bar or under a lamp.

Just take some automotive polish to clean it up and some vaseline to seal up your polish job.

And they'll look brand new.

I found another one too, same with a bernardo, some tort, clear and peach soloists. Been buying and reselling old vintage pairs after revitalizing them, I was taught how to fix and renew pairs given my optician and my local car detailer. I've been doing odd jobs like homework for kids, yard work and oil changes. So these pairs are really rewarding to me.

If anyone wants to trade a cortland or shawford let me know as I might be having 2 Persols in silver 58 and I have 2 off color persols, brown and black. :)

New find. Guess now I'll have 2.

What do you want for the soloists in tortoise?

Oh I didnt buy those yet lol. I just found them. But I'm just looking for the Cortlands and Shawfords. Then my "out of production" collection will be done.

Getting all those vintage frames then I can get the other pairs with ease.

No point in buying what's readily available then missing out on a pair you'll have to wait for again.

Im impatient lol
