What about his 2015 Peoples Choice Awards Frames? I see they have 2 dots in the front. And I think I saw that there's 2 dots on the arms but I can't find a clear enough picture of the arms anymore.

I couldn't bring myself to pay full RRP on these and after 2 years of being patient got rewarded with a £30 bargain (with free delivery) on a new pair of David Beckham DB1001/S J5G/QZ (from back on p.300)...

It's always a refreshing change when you buy a pair that don’t require custom lenses.

You mentioned the 8141's...

In addition to the well known shots above previousy posted, it looks like the Silhouette's were also originally in the filming of this AOU scene too, they must of re-shot the scene again without them.

Such a shame the 8141's never featured more in the final cut, other than a glimpse of being already folded up.
Guess they thought they just looked too extreme!

I recently got a pair of armani worn by bono in some shows and events some years ago, and the lenses made me think about our beloved 8141.

for those who already have the silhouette glasses, you’ll know that the stock lenses are a bit more dark and mirrored, even indoor or with low lights (same for my bono armani). what kind of coating do you think they put on the lenses to look this way? it must have been something to avoid cameras and all that stuff reflect on the lenses while filming the scene

Hi gio,
They are definitely not the stock 8141 lenses, which as you say, are way darker by comparison and have a light to medium flash mirror coating.
The AoU movie custom lenses look really quite light away from the face, looking at the lens against the greenscreen section in the picture...

They'll probably have some fancy AR coating too. I think Tanya may have been involved in the AoU lenses, as I think I can remember a pic with some 8141's and Gunnar Vaypers on a table.

I knew I had seen the images somewhere!!

I'm not losing it just yet!! Lol.

I had saved the images from an old conversation with Sake (thank you Sake my friend (y)).
It looks like Tanya was experimenting with both the Silhouette 8146 and the 8141, the matte black All-Ins and the Gunnars (All in AoU) - There's even a "Tony AV2" reference on the boxes!!...

I think that's a good enough confirmation for me that Tanya did the 8141 lenses!!

I think it's high time my 8141's ditched the stock lenses and had the screen accurate customs in.
Just a shame though about losing the Silhouette lens logo.

Got my Rayford back from the optometrists today. I'm very pleased with the result. Once again many thanks to Sake

Also picked up the Cutler and Gross 1294 01 at an excellent price. I've been searching for them for a long time. I'm gonna get plain lenses in asap.

Can't wait to wear them with the Vans :)

Apologies for the rather hasty "selfies" Lol

I don't think I'm going to mess with my silhouette. Not that I don't trust the lab I was introduced to, they do great work, but these frames could potentially be considered grail status and I would be highly upset if something happened to the stock lenses/frame or if i lost them (I have all my lenses in one place but I still lose stuff all the time)

I'm preparing too! Also, I'll definitely change Gunner to Amber Brown. If RDJ's personal frame is among the frames Tanya chooses in the movie, it will be prioritized and Tanya's frame will be the spare. In that case, there will be two types of lenses, one for RDJ and one for Tanya. UV400 and I will boldly search for lenses that are faithful to the screen.

It suits you well! Good for you!

Whilst on the subject, my Giorgio Armani GA 421/S PJYT6 frames arrived with dark random prescription lenses, I'm also just going through gradient lens colour options...

The PJYT6 lenses are described as azure gradient...

Wolfshire's 421/S show the colour as being just like the stock product picture...

But some pics show the gradients as more brown, others more of that light azure, which makes me think not to rule out the possibility that there might be 2 sets of lenses in play with these favourite go-to frames...

I found yet another 421/S pic, showing more of a blue...

I think ambient light and reflected surrounding are making that one pic look browner than reality... notice it's worn with a blue accented outfit and look at the color right over the eyelids.

Actually I think swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus haha sorry I couldn't help myself
