After searching for something to create a white background I find an old shoe box lid LOL
Not perfect but at least it gives an idea.

So, light grey tint at 50%

3 so far, I got lucky with the "root beer" , the blue in the black are knock off lucky brand d922. I deff need some light grey lens now. Not the best pic, sorry lol

What tint strength would you say you have for the grey Basel lenses?

I had a 50% tint of a slightly darker grey made but they're much too dark - I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and have them redone as the Basel really are an awesome frame!

My Basel have been sent back to for a more accurate, lighter percentage tint - they will do that for me at zero charge which is great news as I'm sending them the Jack one for light pink/lilac lenses at the same time

In other non eyewear related news that may be of interest the vast majority of the first episode of Secret Invasion was filmed in my home town - which is not Moscow Lol.

Still can't find an image of the SPR 21P colorway that were in the RDJ pics, but I've since discovered that they are the NAZ-110 (gold metal and green acetate frame).

I'm so pleased to see the black Paul Smith Walton PM 8196-S 1005/81 with custom light peach lenses making an appearance again!!...


And it looks like some Porsche Design too...


They may not be the P'8478 as there are other Porsche frames that really look similar.

I've provisionally pegged the vintage Carrera Porsche Design 5621 silver titanium frame with light rose lenses for the time being, until I can get my hands on a better shot showing that different looking left lens logo...

I think these might be Caddis Eye Appliances "Hooper" in polished gold (57□16 145) with the Caddis very light yellow FRQ lenses...

Not Black obviously but still pretty rare and an awesome style.

I'm still thinking of having the purple lenses created as I think that will still work.

Any good images of the purple lenses would be appreciated - there's one where if I remember correctly Jon Favreau is in the shot that springs to mind if anyone has it.

It's funny you mentioned the DG6002 lenses, as I'm going to uprgade the lens color on my DG6002 and I've got these donors en route from AliExpress (the large lens width and base curve look about right)...

I looked at some random tortoise shell pattern frames with purple lenses and they work well so that is a positive result

Foldable Persol 3075-S 96/56 (51□21 140) from p.332...

Persol 2365-S 518/32 (59□13 135) from p.288...

I found these excellent condition €35.00 pair of silver 518/32, (which I wasn't going to turn down) and made some case info. cards, even though I'm still maybe leaning towards the actual frames being the havana 795/51.
As I mentioned on p.288, it's hard to be 100% sure, but it's between the 2 colorways with the gradient lenses, 795/51 & 518/32.

I was really hoping he would wear these again so that we could be 100% sure.
