Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Your right about that, and the Paul Smith Waltons are on my list! But so are Raen Ditmars lol hopefully those are close to the Paul Smith shawford, which I cant find anywhere
All 3 of those are very rare it seems... there is a Walton up available now but it's $350. Close to the original sale price, I think.

$350 would be significantly more than the original price. So much so that I'd say way overpriced!

I get the movie frames. For people of a certain persuasion owning movie based stuff justifies the often inflated price but I think asking over a $100 more than the original retail price is pushing it a bit

Yes, I paid 200 for mine as I was flush with cash that month and still felt it was a lot. Original MSRP does factor into it... for Matsuda or Dita paying $200 is a whole different feeling!

That being said I have also sold a frame for $300+ myself so I can't knock anyone too harshly for trying to get as much as they can. Though, in line with your comment, I have to add that was an OOP correct color movie frame!

That's perfectly understandable.

I'm not naive. I'm pretty sure I'd do the same. It's the way things are if the item is known to be in demand.

Yea I seen those Waltons, pricey they are for sure. I’ve only gotten lucky with a couple pair, dita flight 006(silver nose pad) $160, $30 and $25 for warby parker case (2 pair). I have an entire list of the stark frames I can’t find and have been looking daily. Here are a few that are somewhat close to the OP strathmore and Paul smith Shawford

Well the month of February was very productive in spite of being short! Last 2 packages of the month are still on the way but I found a guy who had a bunch of NOS Paul Smith metal frames from when Oliver Peoples had the license. I made a deal with him and got a PS 817L not in the correct silver and white but gold/tan. However at $35 a frame I was willing to settle. He also sold me (non-RDJ as far as I know) PS models 834, 835, and 836 (bottom to top)

In addition I found a cheap Dolce and Gabbana 3195 in black which I grabbed as I haven't seen a green since we identified them.

And last but not least, I finally found a 58mm Persol 2430! Having removed the paint off a pair of the 55s, it will be no problem to turn them silver. Really happy about this one, not only were they a great deal but it means I can sell off a few of my backup 2430s. I've essentially been hoarding 2430s hoping one would be 58mm.

Can’t beat those multi deals sometimes, I’ve seen a few “mystery boxes” that look like that might have some gold in them. Good find though

If these aren’t some Stark like shades…man

Paul Smith PM8223U BRANWELL looks like Shawford.

Mate go for the size that will suit you, not the screen accurate pair! My matsudas are 57 and they fit perfectly even though they’re not the same ones rdj wears. It’s about style not size imo. I have a larger head so only ever got glasses of his that would suit me, Paul smith Walton and initium London calling etc and avoid small frame glasses. Steal the style but fit them to you imo
Agreed... I have a smaller sized head and the 52s fit me similar to the way they fit RDJ. They are one of my all time favorite go to frames. Unfortunately the gradient lenses don't do much for bright summer sun so I usually use them on slightly overcast days. We get a lot of those here in the Pacific Northwest.

Picked up some nice Paul Smith Mayall in translucent green ivy / havana for pretty cheap on Amazon. Not sure what I'm going to do with them. May get my actual prescription lenses in them and have them as regular glasses. Any other suggestions???

You look good! I'm jealous I have a big head and a flat face.

I would suggest very light g15 green like the mcu prada, say 20% tint max, so it's in the same tone as the front but lighter.

all-in lenses update: in the end I thought my crystal cazal 607 had the better lenses to try and copy them, so that’s what I asked my optician.

the result is not perfect but it’s a big improvement over the former stock lenses, so I think it’ll be fine

Got 2 alternative color versions today as they were too cheap to resist... the leather wrapped Paul Smith 815L from the same seller as the previous PS frames and an Oliver Peoples Connolly in silver with blue gradient lenses. I really like the lens colors and gradient on both of these, they both have a really vibrant rich tone in person, not sure how to describe it better. All these PS frames are from the OP era so likely the same designers worked on them.
