Yes you did! Congratulations! Beautiful all.Had a very productive day today
Hi UV400. I've just picked up some Anderson's today. The size is 53. I got them off ebay but checked them out on Pretavoir, they also stock 53s.Apologies for the long and picture intensive post!!
Looking for some PS Padfields, I came across another mega bargain, new $32 Paul Smith Anderson's, which are still "current" and on both the Paul Smith and Cutler and Gross website.
The Anderson's are the same 51mm size as the Padfield's and look really similar, even down to the metal temple squares...

I preferred the arms on the Anderson's, which have the metal PS signature stripe.

While trying to decide what color lenses to put in, I went to my cheap replica NDG-1's, which I made custom lenses for ages ago...

As I offered up a lens to the PS Anderson's as a rough guide to see what the color would be like, the craziest thing happened...as some sort of cosmic fluke, the lens only went into the frame!!...I mean perfect super tight, made to measure!! - But HOW???!!
So instead of spending time making 1 set of lenses for them, inadvertently ended up with multiple color options!!

And how about some OP Strathmore/purple homages!!

The replica NDG-1's must be larger than actual NDG-1's (50mm), which might explain why they fit snugly into the Anderson's 51mm frame.
Being now spoilt for choice, can't decide which I prefer, but I think the light purple/blue for now...(pictured with real NDG-1's)

PS metal signature stripe, set into the arms and it shines when the light catches it...

Forgot to mention I picked up some PS Cortland's in "workman grey" Lol.
They might be 1st edition's of the frame, as the temple has the PS dots, not the PS signature...

Anyway, decided to go light pink on them, inspired by Manchester007's 3000's he kindly posted a while backView attachment 1323740

Thank you my friend.Yes you did! Congratulations! Beautiful all.
Love all of your recent additions!!Hi UV400. I've just picked up some Anderson's today. The size is 53. I got them off ebay but checked them out on Pretavoir, they also stock 53s.
Do the Anderson's come in 2 different sizes?
If they do is the difference fairly negligible with regards to the look when worn?
Thanks for a great response.Love all of your recent additions!!
I believe the Paul Smith Anderson's come in 2 sizes, 51□20 145 & 53□21 145.
I bought mine which are 51mm and although not worn by RDJ as yet, quickly became one of my favourite frames - I love the subtle chrome Paul Smith signature stripe in the arms!!
I bought mine not just because of the $32 bargain price(checkout p.208 where I've tried a few lens colors in them!!) but because they are quite similar to the Padfields, also in 51mm.
Plus, another added reason I really like them, is that I've recently just came across the frames pictured below my Anderson's, which bear a more than adequate resemblance to act as stand-ins...

Here is some pics of my Anderson's alongside Paul Smith Kilburn's (54mm) to try to give you a reference to the size difference, although it's between 51 & 54mm..

I personally, equally like this style of frame in both of the sizes, as they both always look great on!!
Can't wait to see what lens color you opt for with your clear Anderson's, they're awesome!!
Thanks for a great response.
It was actually your earlier posts relating to the Anderson's/Padfield's which persuaded me to buy the Anderson's this morning.
For lens colour I'll likely go for a "crystal blue", similar to the JMMs which some of the guys have. I love that colour with the transparent crystal frames.
Thanks again
Definitely keep an eye out for you, if only we could find you some of these Matsuda plaques, they would look awesome in there!!Filled up the dead space above my Oakley display. I'm still on the hunt for more signs, promotional material, plaques, or whatever you call it for other brands so keep me in mind if you see any.
Actually it appears that these are the smaller size 55 according to pics on the listing.Persols in the right size on ebay![]()
