Hadn't thought about UV lamps, that's a great idea actually and would work for keys, car keys, credit cards, ID cards and so forth as well.

Apologies for the long and picture intensive post!!
Looking for some PS Padfields, I came across another mega bargain, new $32 Paul Smith Anderson's, which are still "current" and on both the Paul Smith and Cutler and Gross website.
The Anderson's are the same 51mm size as the Padfield's and look really similar, even down to the metal temple squares...

I preferred the arms on the Anderson's, which have the metal PS signature stripe.
While trying to decide what color lenses to put in, I went to my cheap replica NDG-1's, which I made custom lenses for ages ago...
As I offered up a lens to the PS Anderson's as a rough guide to see what the color would be like, the craziest thing happened...as some sort of cosmic fluke, the lens only went into the frame!!...I mean perfect super tight, made to measure!! - But HOW???!!
So instead of spending time making 1 set of lenses for them, inadvertently ended up with multiple color options!!
And how about some OP Strathmore/purple homages!!
The replica NDG-1's must be larger than actual NDG-1's (50mm), which might explain why they fit snugly into the Anderson's 51mm frame.
Being now spoilt for choice, can't decide which I prefer, but I think the light purple/blue for now...(pictured with real NDG-1's)

Forgot to mention I picked up some PS Cortland's in "workman grey" Lol.
They might be 1st edition's of the frame, as the temple has the PS dots, not the PS signature...

Ok...after seeing this post a few weeks back, I decided to “pull the trigger” on the JMM Ascari as well. As they are sold out in the configuration I desired most (black/red lens), I found them basically new on a popular selling site.
They arrived today and I am beyond pleased! The glasses are of course exceptional as expected, but the presentation box, etc. was phenomenal as well. I wasn’t expecting such wonderful display packaging.
Now...they do still have some of the clear\crystal version left....ughh! Restraint, must show restraint!

wow, I didn’t even know he had a pair! it just was one of my usual “if I like the frame in another color, I prefer that one instead of the one that appears in the movie”. well, thanks for the picture, this makes me a bit happier!

Thought I'd share some of my new additions (apologies, another long post!!)...
Oliver Peoples Berluti Rue De Sèvres OV5354SQ 1598/R5 semi matte violet/St.Emilion with carbon grey temple detail (from the Audi e-tron GT concept unveiling 10 minute video) - Managed to eventually remove the glass OP lenses (this time) to put my custom lenses in, (apologies for the R8!!)...
Discontinued and must be at least a little bit rare in the purple color, as there aren't many images of them on google.
The older version matt black Initium Cocktails with bordeaux lenses...
Salvatore Ferragamo SF634-S 319's...
I didn't previously have any eyewear from this brand, but do have some nice SF ties/cufflinks etc.
Made some cheap stand-ins for the Cutler and Gross 1308 GPL-04, gold with light green/blue lenses and added gold nosepads...
...and cheap stand-ins for the Garrett Leight Steiner, black frames with custom blue lenses...
GLCO logo must have been inspired by sunburnt Pacman's Police mugshots!!
