Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Love to all, increase the peace, stay safe;)

Feeling happy 'cos I picked up a few crazy bargains which eventually arrived today, new Paul Smith Denning's for €35!!! and new Oliver Peoples NDG-1's for €25!!!o_O

So obviously I couldn't rest until I put light blue lenses in the Dennings,:D lol...

But, with the NDG-1's, back to the same problem as with the Sheldrake's, I simply cannot get the lenses out...aarrgghh!!

I have some donor blue ready to try to match up these...

...and to Zeingal's NDG-1's...

Also got some donor mid brown lenses to change in when I feel like replicating the PS Padfields, gio is right, the two are sooo similar!!(y):D

...but they'll have to wait for now!!

Also, (not really related), picked up these Prada SPR03S, which I really liked the size and the angular shape of...

...they came with gradient grey lenses, but after seeing hebrewersfan's JMM Ascari Division's, (which I love BTW), they gave me the idea to RDJ them up a bit!! Lol

Haha, nice!!

Speaking of getting more frames....:DFINALLY, after lots of searching, I've managed to ID these mysterious and extremely puzzling pair from way back on page 134...
20200705_075946.png 20200705_074220.png

...I'm pretty sure they are Salvatore Ferragamo SF634S in color 319, dark brown frame with gradient brown lenses 61□13 135

Also in black (001) burgundy (219) and grey (?)...

As is the frustrating norm here, not only did they have to be hard to ID, they also obviously had to be discontinued and hard to find up for sale, typical.

Also, as the Easter bunny Cazal box has been ticked, thought I'd have a go at the Tigger onesie pair...

Really difficult as they literally could be any generic red mirrors.

But found a pic of what are surely the same pair and I think they are...

Saint Laurent Classic 11 Surf 007 red frame aviator (stock red/orange flash mirror lenses) 59□14 140
The hinge does seem to match up.;)

To anyone who is quick on the drawo_O, there's a pair of Ferragamo SF634's in the most obvious place, with a non-model specific description

does anyone have news about the red havana london calling? last time I asked I was told 6-8 weeks, so I think it should be near the end of this month

J said to me he's hoping they are ready with the British Steel in about 2 weeks.

thanks! oh that’s great hearing about the british steel too, I never liked the originals that much but I think I’m getting the new blue or red ones. any of you guys could help me about the size? I have the big all in, so I think I should buy the bigger size in this case too

Good news on the LC red havana's!!
Got my "hat" all ready and waiting!! Lol - (got creative with the gold card, glue & scissors during lockdown )

Just a cheap "prototype" as I now have better reference pics to make a more accurate version.

There'll certainly be a party atmosphere when they arrive!!

Just super quick while on "outfits/props"...
Thought I'd share my recent acquisition, which is by far the minutest "prop" I have...
20200705_190145.jpg
As it's genuine and so small, I had to make a laminated card to keep it on so I don't lose it!!

A cheap an effective way to instantly turn any "normal" suit or jacket into an expensive one - ta-da!...

first time poster, long time lurker, I've got a question to the veteran collectors here, how do you guys sanitize/disinfect/clean your DITA Flight 006 (or sunglasses in general) amidst this global pandemic?

I got the gold (and black acetate) frames with gray gradient lenses and, working at a hospital and whatnot, I'll have to clean them pretty thoroughly fairly often (at least until the pandemic has blown over) and wouldn't want to mess up the lenses coating or frame paint/materials.

I suppose that alcohol or alcohol-based hand-sanitizers wouldn't be a good idea and neither would the aggressive chemicals we use at the hospital for surfaces. Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, and welcome!!!:D

Respect and gratitude for being on the frontline, real hero stuff right there!!

I think you are right, it wouldn't be wise to use such disinfecting chemical cleaners on your Dita's!

Maybe just use regular lens cleaning liquid and give them an all over vigourous clean, but then afterwards, leave them in their case for a few days, if you can resist not wearing them for that long, lol - (I forget how long it's supposed to be now, is it 72 hours?)

I hope you got your Dita discount for being a frontline hospital hero, I would have given them to all for free!!(y)(y)(y) - Where would we be without you guys?

Thanks for the reply and the kind words! No discount here seeing as I'm in Italy but it's fine, they're quality products worth the price-tag.

Covid viability on surfaces can last up to 14-21 days at room temp actually (there aren't that many peer-reviewed studies on the matter though, so it's still a bit up in the air... no pun intended), so just leaving them quarantined would do the trick but it'd take a while.
