C 3PO helmets: some observations

Fun fact about the inaccuracy of the Don post, one of the throat rectangles, and the piston bases below it are in the wrong spot. In the original 6 movies, one of the rectangles is extra far from the other. For some reason the don post rectangle is closer to the other, more symmetrical looking. I've compared to multiple pictures, it has to be 100% true. I have no doubt about it. Very weird that the don post was inaccurately resculpted and I don't think it could have been directly from shrinkage deformation. The crotch buldge and the extra short nose height are the main things that seem like they were intentionally resculpted, although its a mystery why.


The throat valve is positioned differently in ANH, that is why the valve does not line up in this overlap image.

I guess that weathering plus the possibility that the ESB suit could has been rechromed may affected some fine details, but to me the Anthony Daniels helmet has those vertical lines.
