Julien, I know it's not prototypical, but have you thought about making the gun platforms rotate?

Engines & gun batteries look terrific Julien.
The engines wouldn't be an easy part to replicate, being a cone for a start, but man, you nailed it, well done mate!.

I just can't believe those gun batteries, such beautiful detailing work.
Great casting too J.

Some news now...

I will show you the process of how I built a dome with one piece of styrene. Unfortunatly, it was not perfect so I will have to go with another way (3D printing ? Probably).

Here some stuff which will detail the main hangar bay :

I've read somewhere that the kind of rails of the main hangar bay were from a loco kit. Actually those are every black pvc half round and H rods with half styrene disks. It can be seen on a pic of Fulmer building the hangar and it's easy to notice that those pieces are not evenly cut and glued (there are a ton to build, they could have cast the parts ! I will :$).

Ive also worked on the underside of the bridge which is almost done. I did some cool find !

I worked on the X array, it's also almost done, some minor details to add :

Dave, that would be a good idea, unfortunatly there's a flaw in the original design lol The turrets can rotate only a few degrees because the back of them touches the JPS brake calipers which doesnt allow full rotation !

Thanks Stu, my cone is not 100% perfect though, not narrow enough but not that noticeable ! That's one of my fav area !
