BTTF Nike Air Mag Replicas...my new project

you will love them .I'm glad there going to a true fan like yourself

maybe you should have my profile pic now lol

Depends if I will be a regular here. I welcome you all to the TellTaleGames forum though.
A happy place for BttF fans at the moment. =)

And thanks for providing info markpoon. But as you see I bought pitbull's MAG's =)
I'll see if I can get anyone in The Netherlands get interested in the shoes.

Now all I need is the jacket. Anyone know where I can find a good quality BttF 2015 jacket? Most of the ones I have seen use this cheap leather which is kind of orangy and not dark red.
Only the one made by the guy on this forum seems to be the real deal. Unfortunately he's putting too much hours into that I don't think I'll be able to pay the amount he'll ask.

Hi Markpoon,

I've found the BTTF shoes on evilbay and i wonder if you've got beside your markpoon account a second one named "swindyfan"? Or is that one another fellow?

(sorry Jedifyfe to get OT but I'am unable to post direct to Markpoon's junkyard thread because I've don't reached the 20 post mark yet. So I have to collect them here :$ :angel)

greetings Repro

I work on them for a few hours here and there every day for like a week or so.Remember you want to do them cleanly and one tiny slip up you will ruin the shoes. The supplies for one pair include... LED's, EL strip, Dremel for sanding down the soles, X-acto Knife,Hot Glue gun,Electrical Tape,OHM Resistors,9 volt Batteries,Inverters to power the EL strip,Soldering Gun.Then you need to wire all the electrical wiring through the inside fabric Which is what I hate doing lol. It's Quite a project to say the least.Good luck on your conversions and If you want them converted I do that also just contact me on pricing.

Thanks for the quick response guys.

By the way, your illuminated shoes are..... stunning, Pitbull!

Could you tell me with how many working hours I have to count, if I do the conversion myself? And how much have you spent for the parts in total?

Repro

yes i did all the lights myself I currently have a pair for sale in the junkyard for $400 shipped drop me a pm if your interested.

~Mike

Thanks for the offer.

Don't get me wrong, because I can imagine how much work you have to convert the shoes.

But unfortunately, if this is still your actual price, it's out of my range in the moment. (I have to add the shipping fee to Germany, TAX and customs).

Those look great. Do you by any chance have any info about the Doc Brown Red shirt from the beginning of Part II?

Here's a tutorial on how to light up your straps on your Markpoon nike air mags:love.

I went with an A5 cuttable blue/green el sheet.

I went to this website for my stuff they have pretty good prices considering.

Here is the correct el sheet

and you will need 2 Inverters for small sheet/tape with alligator clips (One for each shoe)

Here's Mine takes 4 AAA Batteries and has an on/off switch on the side of inverter........

Thanks so much for posting the tutorial on the EL paper. I bought the same EL sheet and inverters from that site, and my shoes now look 'the business' with the light-up strap!

One question though... and this goes for anyone with the same inverters...
At least one of my inverters drains the batteries really bad, even when it's turned off. I put batteries in one of them when the stuff first arrived to test the EL paper, and then turned it off and left it in a drawer until working on my shoes. In less than 2 weeks, the batteries in that inverter went completely dead. And yes I did double-check that it was turned off.
I just finished my shoes today, so don't know yet if the other inverter will do the same thing. Is something wrong? Should I contact the e-luminates website? It would be a pain to pull the batteries each time I turn the lights off.

Thanks for your help.

1,000 views and almost a month later and no one has any comments about this??

Well, I've contacted the company, and got an answer, but I guess this isn't a problem for anyone else here.:(

Wow! I hadn't realized this topic had taken off so much since my last visit. Fabulous work pitbull! Will you please provide us with more detailed info on the sole lights? PLEASE?

BTW, are you now using glow in the dark tape instead of the el sheets on all the shoes? (ones in videos)
