BTTF Nike Air Mag Replicas...my new project

........
Wow! I hadn't realized this topic had taken off so much since my last visit. Fabulous work pitbull! Will you please provide us with more detailed info on the sole lights? PLEASE?

5mm Led's :cool
BTW, are you now using glow in the dark tape instead of the el sheets on all the shoes? (ones in videos)

no I use EL Sheet

Very cool. Thanks for sharing your awesome work. I knew someone would take the time to recreate these faithfully! Great job!

I gotta say after a bit of hard work, n researching i finally finished my mcfly shoes and their looking great, alot of ppl were shocked at the convention i wore them to. Alot of "Omg somebody made those for real" Comments :)

What do you make the sole out of? And how?

Where do you order the shoes that are not preassembled? If like to buy some size 11's!

You can't.

Since I keep mine in a case I made a outside swith that I can turn them on or off without removing the case top. ;)

Here some more pics:

Mark,

Trying all ways to get in contact with you! I would like to buy a pair of Nike Air Mags. Could you please advise if you have any left and what sizes.

I have been looking for these since I was 12. lol.

Cheers

Darell

Has ANYONE heard from Mark since Nike's big release? I'm real curios to see how he will proceed with his shoe replicas as well as find out if he has plans on offering a version 2 that will be a closer - if not perfect - match to the original.

Just goes to show you don't need to spend $5000 or more to have a nice replica, this is really impressive.

Ya paying $5000+ for shoes is insane, or maybe i dont have that kind of cash to throw around. Either way his replicas are a better alternative

Seems to me the whole concept here is getting lost.

This offering is:

  • A designer shoe
  • A prop replica
  • A charity event

Designer shoes cost huge gobs of cash.

Jimmy Choo boots

And that was just the first example that came up on a google search. I am sure there are tons more.

Prop Replicas can run into the thousands. MR Millenium Falcon anyone?

But ultimately it is a charity event meant to raise as much cash as possible for Parkinson's research. Seems to me they are succeeding. The best part is that ALL the money goes to charity, not just a portion. That's cool.

Speaking of, wouldn't a bid on these shoes count as a tax-deductible charitable contribution, or am I misunderstanding the rule?

Yep...That's how I am going to explain it to my wife if I get a pair. :lol
