BSG - If you can't buy it, make it!

Here's all the LS-386 images from the auction so far (last one is an eBay auction - week 1):

Looks like they're all LS-386s.

However, I agree that this is more like a IC-KAA than a LS-386 (based upon where the top of the handles connect):

All i know is now i need either one of those intercoms to finish my Adama phone set up, i was going to make a custom base like the one in the auction but now i want to make the grand pappy BSG phone.

Then i can call up and order me up one of those sexy cylons:love

Just to add to the overall prop list:

Helo's watch is a Smith & Wesson military model (tan band).
Cottle has the same watch, but with a black band.
The watch retails for less than $30 and includes three different color straps (black, tan and olive drab).

Apollo's officer/dress blues watch is a Nixon Scout with black band and black face (retail $70). They still make them although the company logo on the face has changed. The prop department replaced the original face anyway (changed the numbers font and the logo).

This should be easy enough... I'll start this week.

Here is the decals my friend worked up

Very cool! You didn't happen to give him ref for another station as well, did you? (I'm doing a pair)

Is he actually doing decals or stickers, or just digital? If you have a higher res image, it would be much appreciated. :thumbsup

I would really be in for one of these!

Not sure what the fonts are yet... And the sizing is off a bit.... But it's a start.

Now is that hard acrylic for the cover or just protective flemsi...

How thick would you say it is?

I could have paid more attention... From the auction:

"This is a comprehensive Colonial Mark II Viper Flight Manual used by Viper recruits in the Pilots Ready room. This book is first seen in Season 1's "Act of Contrition" and is part of the reading material of the nuggets recruited to replace the pilots who died in the unfortunate accident in the hangar bay. A custom made manual with clear lexan covers on front and back. The binding is vinyl leather with flight manual information from real-world books copied onto the pages. As with any self-respecting book from the Battlestar Galactica universe, this piece features cut corners. Measures 11.5" x 8" x 2.5."

Gonna be big...

Edit - Thought it was Eurostile, but the R's don't match.
They use Eurostile on a lot of other stuff.

"Flight Manual" I don't recognize offhand though I have a few similar.

oh me me me i want i want me me gimme gimme!!!!!!!!!

I have one of the handsets but the base must be custom made. Also the resin units must just be stunt props because all the close up phones seem to be black.

CIC phones are blue/grey as well. It's just the dark lighting on that set making them look black.

Nice shot of the CIC phones here:

Clearly they're the same color as the rest.

No offense, but those stickers aren't very accurate. The fonts are all wrong except for 2 buttons.
The entire phone should be in the same font as the pilot nameplates.
I've started making the correct letters in Photoshop, but I haven't gotten a phone yet for scale. I'd be happy to share my file when done.
Bobatrek has obviously done some great work with that typeface so perhaps he might have a go at it too?

So your saying the font isn't accurate, do you know the name of the font so i can pass it along to him?
