BSG- Blood and Chrome - frakking A

No worries, it's all good ;)

All things considered, I really like the story, tramp stamps and lens flares notwithstanding.

I really like seeing The Bucket in her fully armored heyday, and I like the more military looking Vipers too. Hopefully there will be at least enough interest to convince Moebius to produce an earlier version of the Big G.

A quibble, has anyone ever explained the mechanics behind the jump drive technology? Why the big giant pistons? Any explanation of the possible physics behind them? Why do they actually have holes leading outside the hull of the ship? How does something like that fit into a Raptor in the later series but not the B&C Series?

I'm just trying to figure the tech out in my head. I know it's a quibble but for some people they like to have a basic idea behind the tech. To me it helps explain some of the story and plot lines.

Based on Arthur C. Clarke's third law, jump drive technology is quite simply magic.

(Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.)

i was thrown too... and I guess it has to be running at all times in order to "spool up the FTL drive" to jump.... I guess the bigger the ship the bigger the FTL drive needs to be? Kinda like I have a small engine running my lawn mower but to move my Honda CRV I need a bigger engine.

If I see any clones or a giant gun I'll be annoyed. :D Last thing I want is this to become Gun on Ice Planet Zero.

and to all that saw episodes 5/6.... KCP Studio brings back to BSG the Colonial sidearms the way it should have stayed in the first place. I hated those five sevens.

at least Gun on Ice Planet Zero had a decent looking raptor crash landing.:rolleyes

i remember looking forward to it being replayed every week in the opening montage... like the 'agony of defeat' clip for the wide world of sports...( well not quite as epic but better than that crash render i just saw...)

You mean decent Viper crash landing right? I recall that bit being replayed but the shuttle crash only being shown in the episode.

So far I am really liking what I am seeing with B&C. One cute touch I noticed is the Viper Mk IIIs have a psuedo Viper Mk 1 paintjob on the fuselage and wings with the broken engine stripes and a black (or blue) and white border around the red stripes that reminds me a little of the old Mattel Viper toy paint and sticker job.

Nice job, they look great. i'm really enjoying B&C so far.

.

doh, i see the viper crash landing in the galactica 1980 intro... i thought the shuttle crashed in one of the the original series intros... there are several...

damn my dead brain cells...

brief second? lol They keep pulling the sidearms out of their holsters like every couple minutes. lol
