Any new info on the Static Version?
Or is it too soon for that![]()
too soon but is an easy fast follow once we work out the FX. Static is a simpler structure (internally) that Just matches the outside dimensions.

Alright everyone. Time for some REVEAL.
after back and forth with Lewis (Malaki Skywalker), Bryan (BRRogers) and discussions with the factory. We have some important logistics to disclose.
please pay attention and read ALL of this post.
1.) ALL three windvane materials will be included in the kit (aluminum, bronze, and copper).
2.) FULL hot swappable grenades (idealized rings and canon rings) will be included ALONG with duplicate components to ensure a proper wiring assembly. So each kit will include the idealized and canon grenades. TWO reinforced neck sleeves, TWO lower emitter bells, TWO pairs of the cups (one for pixel and one for LED), and TWO windvanes in EACH material. This will allow you to configure this to your liking and still maintain hot swappable grenades.
3.) BOTH idealized and canon (off angle) arrow face plates.
4.) The price of the kit is going to be £275 ($358 USD) with FREE shipping.
Stay tuned for more updates but this should answer the main questions people keep asking.
We are hoping the prototype is coming soon with the latest model changes we've made but Coronavirus has slowed us down. The factory is up and running again so hopefully we finally will be getting traction again to show you guys the beauty of what we have done.
Will the static one be hollow (so plenty of room for 80's electronics and batteries for the cave scene circuit)?
You absolute legend. Thank you so much. You guys are seriously going above and beyond with this run.Alright everyone. Time for some REVEAL.

And that green board is the PCB under the card?So BRRogers and I finally are getting around to doing the FX + appearance side of the boards in the box. We played with a bazillion components and designs to try and do this with a single board and just alignment does not work... so... we're headed down the route of two boards. One is the actual functional board that will sit at the bottom of the box and have the tactile switches and the side-emitting pixels for the arrows. Components and dimensions are set for this, but traces are not done at all yet:

then on top of that on the platform will be the canon-like appearing faux (maybe?) board.
they will stack / float over each other like this:

and once everything is in the box it all lines up:

still subject to tweaking but this is what we're looking at.

The actual static version is sized a bit differently (1:1) , and will be produced a bit later for the static version; after all these are proprietary; not one size fits all (other hero props)Do you guys have any plans to offer the faux boards separately, for those with static hilts that might want to dress out the inside of their control boxes? I think there would probably be a considerable interest in that. I myself would be *very* interested in one.
Yeah, I understand that. The actual static version is sized a bit differently (1:1) , and will be produced a bit later for the static version; after all these are proprietary; not one size fits all (other hero props)

Nice! Will the pixels be pre resistored?Quick update. First board (the functional helper one) has a first draft at a completed board. I will be dispatching it for prototype. It passes all electronics checks and the schematic is solid insofar as I can tell.
prototyping and testing will confirm.
So what this is:
breakout board that provides correct alignment and setup for two tactile switches for the black button and LEDs for the arrows.
I am intending to use neopixel LEDs for the simple fact they are the most versatile. Some folks running RGB may want to alter the color for the arrows depending on blade color while most folks will run green and red.
The pixels provide configurations for both independent operation and chained 2-segment pixels (some boards allow independent config of one chain) by leveraging the two jumper trace pads on the board.
this allows the most versatile setup.
here is what it looks like:

Onto the top reveal board next!
