Browning M2HB, M2A1, M3 & AN/M2 machine gun 3D printed - Terminator RSB-80?

I have completed the Traverse and Elevation mechanism. It, of course, sits on the Traverse Bar on the tripod, but I'm going to find a way to put a large sticker or decal on the bar, since the real one has graduations, and I need to find an easy and effective way to ensure that the mechanism slides side to side smoothly without wearing off the decal.

I'm making a few versions of this weapon. The M3HB had a backplate significantly different from the M2.
Mistakenly, I designed and printed the main recoil buffer with a left hand thread. No biggie to correct it in the design program, but I'm not going to print out a new backplate for that oversight.

This weapon was used in Terminator as a prop multiple times. In particular, it was used by on of the T-800 infiltrators when they entered the resistance base and started shooting up the place. It wouldn't be too hard in making a barrel sleeve similar to the one used in the movie.

I'm from video /film background. The mount from the browning to the upright pole is a camera tripod head that's been modified.
Fwiw genuine mounts have lateral movement of the gun body in the mount to absorb some of the recoil. Think it's damped by small shock absorbers. Used on vehicles even today and aircraft during ww2 due to stresses involved. It would tear that mount to bits and be a very unsteady platform.
Nicely done and given terminator budget not surprised.

Lateral movement is side to side...not a good thing when you are trying to shoot something. There are a few different kind of mounts that the M2HB uses but probably the most common one that is mounted on the M3 tripod is the Mk93. That one indeed has shock absorbers for the recoil. The ANM2 or the M3 versions for aircraft had quite a few more mounts with the more modern ones on helicopters becoming more sophisticated. Even most of the naval deck mounts have a handle and trigger mechanism where the M2 sits in a recoil absorbing cradle.

I'm getting a little sick of this project so I'm going to end further development after I finish the Reflex red dot sight.

Thanks for lor looking.

Here are a couple of mounts and accessories that I designed for a customer from Poland.

This mount was designed to fit a PVC pipe. (Similar to a Mk 64)

Another find that was apparently made by Fabrique Nationale, was this odd muzzle.

The picture I worked from wasn't clear, so it was difficult to see the vent holes (or anything else for that matter), so I just created a few neat looking cut outs. I searched high and low on the web but couldn't get any other info.

A front and rear sight very similar to this was also designed. While the real sight had tubular internal components that held up the reticle, but I elected to make it easier to print as well as post process.

Parts for one of the newest upgrades of the M2HB which has a Quick Change Barrel and a screw on flash suppressor. (Except for the Barrel Support in the middle...other brand)

Another optical mount.

I'm seeing if I can design an ammo chute that can actually hold up the rounds and flex. I'll be using wire designed for chain link fencing or something I can pick up and Home Depot that has strength, but a little flexibility.

Wooooooooooo! Loving that feed chute!
Well, loving all of it actually, but nothing says "I'm here to party" like a feed chute attached to your .50cal!

Thanks. I'll start printing a few links tomorrow to test fit, strength and movability. I may have to modify the design somewhat.

Sorry for the bad lighting. Also, I wish I had silver PLA so I could show this off better. I found a better, cheaper and easily acquirable wire that is strong, can hold it's shape under load and still bendable...coat hangers! I'm sure the wife won't mind finding her clothes on the closet floor. ;)

I think I may need a slight modification to the design to allow an even separation and still allow some movability.
